We reported on Wednesday that Sia dropped the music video for her latest single Elastic Heart, and that it starred Shia LaBeouf and Maddie Ziegler from Dance Moms.

Well, it seems as though the really deep and somewhat dark music video has triggered some folks, and now people are calling her art pedophilic!
The video shows Maddie and Shia facing off in an iron cage wearing similar outfits to the Chandelier music video, and that just didn’t sit well with some fans.
Apparently, when a professional adult male actor and professional teenage female dancer work together, that automatically makes the content produced sexual in nature.
Sia heard about the complaints less than 24 hours after releasing the video, and posted a Facebook statement on Wednesday night, saying:
“I anticipated some ‘pedophelia!!!’ Cries for this video. All I can say is Maddie and Shia are two of the only actors I felt could play these two warring ‘sia’ self states. I apologize to those who feel triggered by├óΓé¼┬¬#├óΓé¼┼╜ElasticHeart├óΓé¼┬¼ My intention was to create some emotional content, not to upset anybody.”
Good for you, Sia!
You didn’t do anything wrong, and we are still totally loving the music video.
