Euphoria just had their bloodiest episode yet!
During Sunday night’s all new episode of the HBO drama, Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi’s characters Cassie and Nate finally tie the knot — but does anything ever really end with a happily ever after in this show??
During their nuptials, things turn sour when Nate is confronted by a loan shark… You see, his real estate company is at a standstill while an ecological issue is sorted out, so all the money he owes this dangerous man is in limbo… meaning not in his bank account… meaning he’s broke AF and can’t pay up!
During the confrontation, the loan shark promises Nate he’s going to become his worst “nightmare.” With Cassie rightfully freaking out, Nate manages to deescalate the situation… or so he thinks.
When the newlyweds return home after their ritzy celebration, they’re once again confronted by the loan shark. INSIDE their home! And this time things don’t end in a conversation. The shark sicks his henchman on Nate, pushing Cassie down and giving her a bloody nose in the process. And once she realizes she’s bleeding on her wedding day, that’s ALL she can process…
“I’m bleeding! This was my wedding day! … [My makeup] is already messed up … this was supposed to be the best day of my life! … What is happening right now?”
Meanwhile her husband is literally fighting for his life in the background, and she doesn’t even offer as much as a concerned glance because she’s too caught up with how ruined her day is!
Oh, Cassie…
The brutal fight, which leaves Nate battered and lying in a pool of his own blood on his yellow shag carpet, crescendos with a BRUTAL, nearly-too-much-for-TV moment: the henchman removes Nate’s shoe, and the shark walks over, takes out a pair of pliers, and CHOPS off his pinky toe!!!
