Someone was not a fan of Into the Woods…
Taraji P. Henson may have been nominated for an Emmy Award this year thanks to her work as Cookie Lyon on Empire, but believe it or not, she almost didn’t land the role!
In fact, her biggest competition for the FOX musical drama was none other than late night host James Corden!

While the Late Late Show star may have thought he had the upper hand on T, he was clearly mistaken — based on the multitude of insults she throws his way with her trademarked sass!
Luckily, this is all just a HIGHlarious sketch on Tuesday night’s show, because we can’t see anyone other than Taraji playing the matriarch of the family.
Plus, there’s a special appearance by Taraji’s costar Yazz at the end to look forward to.
