Taylor Swift had one hell of a 2015!
With the mega success of her Grammy-winning album 1989, and her epically lucrative 1989 World Tour, the New Romantics songstress was the top earner of last year!
Swifty absolutely slayed the competition, earning a whopping $73.5 million largely thanks to her tour — which cashed in $61.7M for her 2015 haul.

But other factors like album sales and streaming sales helped — and even Ryan Adams‘ 1989 cover album helped make the pop star the top earner of publishing royalties!
While Swift’s success isn’t that surprising, the rest of the top ten earners may be…
Coming in at number 2 is country crooner Kenny Chesney, earning $39.8M with the help of his successful Big Revival Tour!
Ever-popular artists like Billy Joel, One Direction, and U2 weren’t shocking list toppers — though we were taken back by bands like The Grateful Dead and Maroon 5 making the top 10!
Adele fans might be disappointed the British crooner only made the no. 9 spot, but she’s the only act on the list who didn’t tour (Adele Live didn’t start until 2016) and earned her spot just from selling records!
