Blake Lively isn’t the only friend Taylor Swift is distancing herself from.
The pop star’s former bestie Jaime King has been going through a really hard time with her family lately. Earlier this month, her ex-husband Kyle Newman won full physical custody of their two sons James, 11, and Leo, 9, after she failed to complete a six-month drug and alcohol program, which would have included weekly testing, aftercare, a 12-step program, and a 26-week parenting program. She has also not completed individual counseling and conjoint counseling with her kids (which is to be done when their therapist thinks the time is right), per Us Weekly.
This comes after Kyle accused her of addiction issues amid their divorce. They had been married for 13 years before splitting in 2020.

As per the new ruling, she will maintain joint legal custody, but her ex will get tie-breaking authority. The kids will primarily live with him, but the actress was granted limited supervised visitation times.
It’s a blow for the momma… and it comes as fans have noticed she and Taylor have not been seen together in a long time, despite the fact that the singer is the godmother of her son Leo! Turns out, they’re no longer on good terms!
According to The US Sun on Friday, the former pals have lost touch with each other and aren’t friends anymore. A source close to Jaime dished:
“Taylor and Jaime are not close anymore and don’t talk but there is still love.”
The love is more for Leo than anyone else, though!
The insider explained that Taylor still sends her godson gifts on special occasions (like his birthday) and would “be there in a heartbeat” if he ever needed anything:
“She has always taken her godmother role and duties very seriously and is the most caring and thoughtful person Jaime could’ve asked to be there for Leo. But their relationship is a lot different now than it was back when Jaime asked Taylor to be his godmother. There is no regular contact.”
We love hearing that Taylor still goes out of her way for the little boy! But it’s sad the friends have grown apart — they were so close once!
They became besties after meeting at a 2014 Golden Globes party. Jaime’s ex even directed the vocalist’s Style music video. During Taylor’s 2015 1989 tour, she told the Santa Carla, California crowd that her 2010 song Never Grow Up had a whole new meaning now that she was a godmother, she gushed:
“I wrote [Never Grow Up] when I was like 18 or 19 but my friend just had a baby and she made me godmother of it and I was holding this little baby the other night and I was just thinking differently. When you’re holding onto something that’s so innocent and so perfect and has no idea what’s coming for it with the world. The world is going to throw so many things at you as we grow up.”
At the time, the model reposted a video of the speech, commenting:
“This is so beautiful Tay. Leo Thames is so blessed.”
Jaime also explained why she thought Taylor would make the perfect godparent, saying around that time:
“She’s so loving and so giving and so generous and she does everything from her heart and she’s incredibly brave and authentic. It’s a very rare thing to come across.”
Aw! Life happens and things change, but now Taylor is down two former besties! Oof! We hope nothing too serious went down between her and Jaime!
