Both are insanely talented, both are ridiculously cute, and both scored a ton of Grammy nominations!

But just exactly how did this powerful force in music come together?
Well it turns out, it was all due to another chart-topper:
Ariana Grande!
In the new issue of Rolling Stone, the 25-year-old reveals how the Love Me Harder singer brought her together with her British BFF at the 2014 American Music Awards:
“We were front row watching watching Ariana Grande, loving her performance. We’re both pretty animated when we’re watching other artists. At the end of her performance, she did some dance move that was so sexy and so cool, and at the same time, Sam and I both screamed out ├óΓé¼╦£YAS BITCH YAS!!’ and then looked at each other and died laughing. I had this feeling that we’ll be friends for life.”‘
The Stay With Me crooner even echoed their concert chant in a tweet last month!:

The pals partied it up later that month at Swifty’s 25th birthday bash and the rest is history!
