This is just so sad if true!
A notable aspect of the Kansas City Chiefs game in El Lay on Sunday was who wasn’t there. Travis Kelce finally got his mojo back — or finally got passed the ball, depending who you ask — yet his girlfriend Taylor Swift was nowhere to be seen. Of course, we’ve been hearing for a while now that the 34-year-old has been planning to attend as many games as possible, but she’s been MIA the past two. In Atlanta, Trav was left looking sullen without his good luck charm. And on Sunday he crossed a huge milestone — breaking the record for most receptions in Chiefs history! Not just among tight ends, among ANYONE! So it’s a huge honor!
So what’s the deal? Why wouldn’t Tay be there?
No one even knew where she was. Last time she was living it up in NYC for girls’ night the night before, but this past Sunday she was under the radar, wherever she is.
This left some fans fearing the worst — mostly jumping to conclusions because of that “leaked” relationship doc from a few weeks ago. Y’all remember that nonsense? Well, it stated Saturday would be the day they’d go their separate ways. September 28. So they’re scheduled to break up, and suddenly she’s not at his big game? In LA?? It makes sense some Swifties wondered if the paper prediction had come to pass — especially those who were never convinced by the denials in the first place.
However, it looks like the real reason could be upsetting for a different reason…

A source for DailyMail.com actually claimed T-Swizzle’s absences are because of all the “misogynistic” backlash she’s getting from NFL dudebros. The “Brads and Chads” never really went away — and they’ve been using Trav’s three-game stat slump to go hard after her. They decided he’s washed after just three outings, and they’re blaming her. They say she ruined her beau’s career — being an unlucky charm and distracting him from his work.
It makes sense Tay might not want to show up for that kind of attention. An insider told DM she’s sick of this crap:
“It’s absolutely absurd and a misogynistic to speculate that Taylor’s attendance impacts Travis’ performance.”
Awful!
And really, if this is affecting her so badly, it could be a bad sign for the future of their relationship, right? We mean, the fact she might now be scared to come support him? Well, maybe. The insider went on to compare the singer’s attendance at NFL games to how Trav attended a few Eras Tour shows but not even close to ALL of them:
“He loves her support but doesn’t expect her at every single game, just as she would not expect him at every Eras tour date. And fans don’t make a fuss when he’s not at every gig.”
They also explained how there’s other ways to support each other that don’t involve “being physically present”:
“They have their own lives and own careers, and both are at the top of their game. They can support each other without being physically present. TV exists after all.”
Makes sense! They’re both very busy people and have two of the most demanding careers around.
And Tayvis fans, there’s no need to worry about that breakup doc! The source directly hit back against the ridiculous “breakup date” talk:
“Taylor and Travis spent September 28, the day of their so-called breakup, at her home in LA, living it up just as they planned. They spent the day doing the exact opposite of breaking up. People need to chill and drop this breakup nonsense, just like they should stop the endless speculation about marriage and engagement. One day it’s this rumor, the next it’s that, and they’re not even close to either.”
Wait, so she was in LA on Saturday and still didn’t make it to the game? Huh. Obviously that’s not meant to be the takeaway, but you know… Wild
But it may be the fact it’s Los Angeles that kept her from the game. Not LA specifically but any away game! A source for PageSix offered an alternative explanation for Taylor’s no-show at both previous games — her safety! The insider explained:
“If she is going to a place that isn’t Arrowhead, there are security concerns. She has worked with Arrowhead so many times, they feel at ease and comfortable. Going to all kinds of different stadiums, you need to send a team in advance.”
Right, that would be a lot of work for a lot of folks — and still not necessarily comfortable. Right now there are a lot of folks with worse thoughts toward Taylor than Brads and Chads. Even worse than the misogynistic NFL fans are the MAGA folks who are being told by their supreme leader to hate this woman. Oof.
Per the sourse, these few quiet weeks have given the couple a bit of “a break” from the endless hate they receive from weirdos. While they’re “both tough people,” it does take a toll.
Lots to consider! But the headline here? A no-show at a game here and there, especially an away game, doesn’t automatically mean bad news! So everyone take a deep breath!
