It’s over for these two former Teen Mom OG stars.
Shocking probably no one who has followed their struggles lately, Mackenzie Standifer Edwards has officially filed for divorce from her already estranged husband Ryan Edwards. The duo had been in a tumultuous relationship for months, including legal trouble for Ryan and cheating allegations lobbed at Mackenzie. Now, it’s clear they have no path forward together.

According to multiple reports, Mackenzie officially filed a divorce petition on Monday. In addition to the divorce decree that is now winding its way through court, Mackenzie has also been granted a restraining order against Ryan and temporary custody of their son Jagger and daughter Stella. Those records were reported by InTouch Weekly. Per earlier reporting, The Ashley was the first news outlet to learn of the divorce.
Sadly, this month has been a s**t show for the 35-year-old reality TV veteran and his 27-year-old soon-to-be-ex-wife. As we reported back on Valentine’s Day, Ryan was arrested in Hamilton County, Tennessee on charges of harassment, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, and violating an order of protection. According to reports from the time, Mackenzie called the cops after Ryan allegedly harassed and threatened her verbally. He also reportedly posted an inappropriate photo of her online while claiming his now-estranged wife will “take your money [and] sleep with anything that looks at them.” Despicable…
Then things took an even darker turn last week when Mackenzie accused Ryan of having joined a gang involved with distributing child pornography and dealing cocaine. The mom of two called police, she claimed, after she experienced what she believed were credible threats on her life from Ryan in a phone call the two had been on together.
At the time, Mackenzie filed a petition for an order of protection from him. In it, she revealed claims of domestic violence and asserted Ryan had joined the Black Pistons Motorcycle Club biker gang. In that court filing, per the U.S. Sun, the reality television star claimed this about the threatening phone call and Ryan’s apparent new biker pals:
“Phone call threatening me, saying I’m not going to like what’s going to happen to me by ‘Black Pistons MC’ that he joined. They ‘will find me.'”
She further alleged Ryan said this to her at the time, as well:
“What’s about to happen to you is gonna be ugly … The people in the club I f**king joined Friday. You know it’s a big no-no to be married and have your wife disrespect you in that kind of way but I said I’d take the a** whooping because I didn’t want the outcome to be [unintelligible] for you, and that ain’t fair. … If you don’t tell me the truth right now, God you’re gonna f**king regret that.”
Jeez…
And now, it seems to all be over. At this point, we hope 4-year-old Jagger and 3-year-old Stella — as well as Hudson, Mackenzie’s son from a previous relationship whom the now-exes had been parenting together — can be cared for and looked after. Plus, just based on the allegations that have popped up over the last few weeks, it sounds like a prudent decision to grant Mackenzie that restraining order.
