New details have come to light in the sex trafficking case against Diddy.
As you will recall, the 54-year-old rapper was arrested on Monday evening on allegations of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He pleaded not guilty and tried everything not to have to stay another night in jail while awaiting trial. He even went as far as to offer a whopping $50 million in bail and forbid all female visitors to his home in Miami — except for the women in his family and his kids’ mothers.
Yeah, he’s used to getting his way… But not this time! The offers he made did not work. The judge denied his attempts at being released on bail both times due to the risk of witness tampering in the case! And we can understand why, especially after federal prosecutors revealed in court text messages from not only himself but the women he allegedly sexually abused. They pulled out all the stops to make sure Diddy remained behind bars, so brace yourselves because these texts are heartbreaking.

During his second try at requesting bail in Manhattan’s federal court on Wednesday, Assistant United States Attorney Emily A. Johnson told the judge that “there is a longstanding pattern of abuse here.” To back her statement, she read out loud several messages in front of the music mogul — including one from an unnamed woman that said:
“I’m not a rag doll. I’m someone’s child.”
Oof. In another text Johnson read, a woman claimed she was “heavily drugged” during a sexual encounter with Diddy. Awful. According to the lawyer, Diddy once told an associate over text to “make sure” a woman’s rent was “paid on time,” which Johnson alleged was a pay-off. And there’s more…
If you have been following his legal drama over the past year, you know that a large portion of the scandal centers on his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. While the singer has not been named in the court documents, the hotel surveillance footage that dropped earlier this year of Diddy brutally beating her in 2016 is attached as an exhibit in federal court filings.
People reported it has also been referenced in court proceedings. Shortly after the horrific attack, Johnson said Cassie reached out to Diddy and detailed the injuries she suffered at his hands. The message said:
“I have a black eye and a fat lip. You are sick to think it’s okay what you’ve done.”
What happened to Cassie is sickening. Beyond sickening. And that isn’t the only text about the situation. Johnson said Diddy allegedly told a close associate immediately after the altercation:
“Call me. The cops are here. I’ve got six kids. Yo, please call. I’m surrounded. You gonna abandon me all alone?”
As Johnson pointed out, police did not surround him at the time. In fact, Diddy covered up the incident for a long time by paying the hotel $50,000 for them to hand over the footage. Disgusting. Johnson noted that what this does illustrate, however, is the record producer’s fear of being caught and held responsible for his actions. Hence, why prosecutors fought so hard for him to be denied bail.
That disturbing video ended up aligning with the allegations Cassie made in a since-settled lawsuit against Diddy, in which she accused him of rape, physical abuse, and sex trafficking. The Me & U artist filed the suit on November 16, 2023. Three days later, Johnson shared that another woman texted Diddy about the lawsuit, saying:
“I feel like I’m reading my own sexual trauma. It makes me sick.”
She went on to mention that Cassie’s experience was similar to hers, adding:
“My anguish.”
Just gut-wrenching.
It’s no wonder the judge denied Diddy bail after hearing these text messages. And from what we’ve heard so far, they only scratched the surface. Reactions, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments.
