The Black Eyed Peas are taking a break.
But according to will.i.am, Fergie, Apl.de.ap, and Taboo, it’s not a break-up.
After a Wednesday November 23rd appearance on Ellen and a concert in Miami, the Black Eyed Peas will be splitting off to do other things.
Will.i.am premiered his debut single, T.H.E., from his fourth solo album, #willpower at the American Music Awards this week.
Fergie will be baby-making with hubby Josh Duhammel.
Apl.de.ap is headed to the Phillipines while Taboo will focus on his family.
Will.i.am. explained the reasoning behind the break.
We always have two cycles of records and then we take a break…And then two cycles of records and then a break. When we take breaks you know, we work on side projects and get our personal stuff in order then come back and make beautiful music. We think beautiful music.
At their performance in Miami, guests include Cee Lo Green, Sean Kingston, Jason Derulo, Marc Anthony, and Flo Rida.
The Black Eyed Peas will be indefinite hiatus afterwards.
