The Comeback Comes To An End... But Is This The Last We'll See Of Lisa Kudrow's Cherished Comedy?

We hope that wasn’t the last we’ve seen of Valerie Cherish!
The second season of Lisa Kudrow‘s infamous HBO mockumentary came to an end on Sunday night, and we’re just really excited that we got to watch such original programming take place as it aired.

The Comeback originally premiered way back in 2005 and followed Lisa’s B-List Val as she took the first steps into reality TV.
It couldn’t quite find an audience then, but after years of popularity of shows like the Real Housewives, HBO took a chance on unconventional television and gave The Comeback a comeback of its own nine years after it was first cancelled.
But will The Comeback‘s comeback continue?

There’s still no official word yet on whether or not it’ll be canceled again, but prior to the finale, the show only averaged 223,000 viewers an episode.
Not great numbers.
However, even if things don’t go The Comeback‘s way, the season ended with Val finally winning her Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy!
Plus, if that level of Meta wasn’t enough to get you to watch, Seth Rogen, Kellan Lutz, and Dan Bucatinsky are all on the show too, so what’re you waiting for!?
We’re just hoping that the show’s strong word of mouth — paired with maybe some life imitating art at the Emmys — will give Lisa another year of hilarity, because after all…
You DO need to see that!
