It’s only three months until the highly-anticipated Spice Girls reunion and Los Angeles awaits the girls, as they will set up camp in our fair city while they rehearse for their upcoming world tour.

More details are now coming out about the ladies’ first live trek in almost a decade.

The Spice Girls have hired Jamie King to direct their upcoming reunion tour, kicking off early December in Vancouver.

King is best known for his work with Madonna, having directed and choreographed her last three tours.

He’s also worked on Christina Aguilera Back to Basics tour and Ricky Martin‘s Black and White tour, both big spectacles.

“Jamie King was our first choice,” says Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller. “He is one of the world’s very best live show directors/producers & choreographers, having worked with all of the greats, including Madonna and Prince. He inspires great confidence in everyone around him. He is a terrific guy and the girls absolutely love him. Everyone has the same vision for this show, it will be a roller coaster of fun reflecting all the things that made the Spice Girls such a huge global Pop group.”

For his part, King says, “Collaborating with the Spice Girls presents one of those exceptional opportunities to create a truly iconic live performance. As a group, their dynamic is provocative, compelling and undeniably sexy, which truly drives my creative inspiration. Their reintroduction to the world will, without question, be an unforgettable event.”

So exciting. We can’t wait!

The only thing that would make us happier is if Girls Aloud came to the U.S. for a few months, released an album with their greatest hits and new material and attempted to break in America.

That’d be killer!
