No, Tim Tebow Won't Be The Next Bachelor -- Instead, He's Going To Play Professional Baseball!

Get ready, Tim Tebow lovers — your boy is pulling a Michael Jordan!!
Jordan, of course, quit the NBA‘s Chicago Bulls for one year in the mid-1990s to pursue a professional baseball career, and even though he did pretty well on the diamond, his experiment was short-lived.

Well now, former NFL star Tebow wants much of the same for his career, now that he appears completely done with football — the QB is going after a baseball career and he’s REALLY serious about it!
(Yeah, no, we know, it’s not The Bachelor. Wouldn’t he be amazing?! Sigh…)
But hey, a hunk in baseball pants?! Sign us up!!
According to Tebow’s agent Jimmy Sexton, the athlete has been working out for nearly a full year with former Major Leaguer Chad Moeller, and later this month, they will hold a workout for any interested pro baseball teams.
Tebow was a star baseball player back in high school, and might have been good enough to go pro back then, but he chose football at the time… oh, and that was ten years ago.

Now 28 years old (he’ll be 29 on Sunday), the former University of Florida quarterback has the support of everybody in his camp, including CAA, his agency.
They released a statement through Sexton on Tuesday:

“Obviously we support Tim in his pursuit of a baseball career, as we have in all his ventures. Tim’s athletic ability, his work ethic, his leadership and his competitiveness were evident in football and will show in baseball. Knowing Tim’s passion and desire, we won’t be surprised by anything he accomplishes.”

Others who have been around Tebow say equally impressive things about his baseball acumen.

That means guys like Moeller, who enjoyed a long, successful big league career himself and is completely in the Tebow camp after training him this year:

“I am beyond impressed with Tim’s athleticism and swing, and it goes without saying that he has shown a high level of discipline and strong work ethic. I see bat speed and power and real baseball talent. I truly believe Tim has the skill set and potential to achieve his goal of playing in the Major Leagues, and based on what I have seen over the past two months, it could happen relatively quickly.”

Whoa — wait a second, so this isn’t a joke or a publicity stunt?!
It sounds like the former QB is serious about this, and knowing how great of an athlete he is, and how hard he works…
Well, let’s just say we’ll be paying LOTS of attention to his workout later this month!
Good luck, Tim!!
