Venus Williams has reached a settlement in her 2017 car crash.
In June of that year, Linda Barson T-boned the tennis player’s car at a busy intersection in Palm Beach, Florida. Barson’s husband Jerome, who sat in the passenger seat of Linda’s car, died 14 days later from blunt traumatic injuries.

In December 2017, authorities decided neither Venus nor Linda were at fault in the collision — but Linda filed a wrongful death lawsuit all the same.
According to TMZ, who obtained court documents filed in Palm Beach County, the 78-year-old victim’s estate and Serena Williams‘ sister reached a financial agreement last week.
The specific amount, which will cover certain expenses, is unclear, but it is clear each party will pay its own legal fees and costs.
