Well, this is a shocking update on the kidnapping of Lady GaGa’s dogs!
For those who don’t recall, the 36-year-old singer’s dog walker, Ryan Fishcer, had been walking her three pups in Hollywood in February of 2021 when several men stole her two French bulldogs, Koji and Gustav, and shot her employee. The shooter, James Howard Jackson, fled the scene with the two other accomplices, Jaylin White and Lafayette Whaley, while Ryan was left on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the chest and was severely injured. Thankfully, he recovered from his injuries.
Meanwhile, Lady GaGa offered a $500,000 reward for the “safe return” of her dogs. Two days later, the Frenchies were turned over to the police unharmed by Jennifer McBride and Jaylin’s father, Harold White. While they seemed like nothing more than good Samaritans at first, that was apparently not the case — and they never got the money! Because in a shocking twist, Jennifer and Harold were arrested alongside Jaylin, Lafayette, and James for their involvement in the crime.

As we previously reported, law enforcement believed the group wasn’t targeting the actress since they never knew who owned the pooches, and they just wanted to take the dogs due to the breed’s monetary value. Investigators claimed the two thieves panicked when they realized the pups belonged to GaGa and decided to change their plans by grabbing the reward instead of selling them. Ultimately, James was sentenced to 21 years in prison. Jennifer also pleaded no contest to one count of receiving stolen property and received two years probation.
Now, here is where things get jaw-dropping! Two years after the horrifying incident, Jennifer has filed a lawsuit against Lady GaGa. Why? According to TMZ on Friday, the woman says the American Horror Story star never kept her promise to award the $500,000 for finding and returning her pets, so she wants GaGa to hand over the money now! Yeah, we’re not joking here.
Jennifer is demanding the Rain On Me artist to give her the cash reward – even though she was charged in connection to the robbery and being an accessory to the crime! As we mentioned before, this same kidnapping scheme also severely injured a person to the point where he lost part of his lung due to the bullet being lodged in his chest. The nerve…
In the suit, she argued that GaGa made it clear that she would cough up the money “no questions asked”. Since Jennifer returned Koji and Gustav to the LAPD Olympic Community station on February 26, 2021, two days after they were taken, she believes she should get the $500,000. Not only that, but she also asked the court for damages of $1.5 million from GaGa for posting the misleading reward.
Just wow.
At this time, Lady GaGa has not responded to the lawsuit — but we bet she is just as stunned by it as the rest of us. Reactions, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments below.
