Missing Mom Was Eaten By Her Weiner Dogs!

[Warning: Potentially Triggering Content]

An English mum sadly perished months ago — and her dogs were left to fend for themselves in the most horrifying way. This is an awful story for everyone involved, so brace yourselves…

Jemma Hart was known fondly by her Swindon neighbors who often saw her walking her two wiener dogs (not pictured above, that’s an unrelated good boy). But in January she stopped responding to text messages. And when locals heard the sound of her two whimpering pups dwindle down to just one, a concerned neighbor finally raised red flags to police. And what they discovered was so terrifying!

During an inquest at Swindon and Wiltshire Coroner’s Court on Friday, a responding police officer confirmed they found Jenna deceased — and that her dachshund had been eating her remains. Coroner Ian Singleton said during the inquest:

“Jemma lived alone with her two dogs in Swindon and she was estranged from her family. Jemma was found in her home with injuries caused by dogs after she died.”

That’s so, so awful. Poor woman… And honestly, poor dogs. Or dog… As one of them had sadly perished by the time they were found. Singleton added:

“On January 29, Wiltshire Police was contacted by Jemma’s neighbors with concerns that they hadn’t seen her since Christmas. Officers went to her home and found her deceased in the living room. One of her dogs was also found dead at the scene and the other was in a distressed condition.”

So messed up.

Jemma’s son revealed at the inquest that the dogs, named Frankie and Millie, were “her life”:

“She’d had dogs in the past but in 2022 she got a dachshund called Frankie and a year later she got another one called Millie. Her house backed onto Lydiard Park where she regularly walked her dogs, and the dogs were her life.”

She had apparently been struggling with health and mobility issues, which caused her physical pain and insomnia. A post-mortem report carried out by toxicologist Peter Street revealed she sadly died by suicide.

What a truly sad series of events… Our hearts are with her loved ones — and her surviving pup, who will likely have to be evaluated by a vet after eating its owner. Like we said, an awful story for all involved.
