YouTube love isn’t in the air… at least not for Manny MUA and James Charles!
The makeup artist took to his channel on Monday afternoon for his final video of the year — and he decided to have a little fun answering rumors and other questions from his fans!

Interestingly, Manny admitted the most-asked question centered on his current relationship with James Charles. To hear his fans tell it, at least, it sounds like a LOT of people think these two influencers are hooking up!
Responding to a question about whether there’s anything romantic going on between the pair, Manny said on camera (below):
“I don’t know what prompted the idea that me and James are anything more than just friends. I can assure you you guys that me and James are not f**king, we are not dating, we are not together, we are not any item in any way, shape or form. We are friends. We have not hooked-up. We are just not each other’s type.”
Hmmm… sounds pretty definitive, doesn’t it?!
Manny went further than that, though, recalling how there was a time when he and James actually had beef! As the makeup mogul notes, Charles once “shaded” him on social media years ago — only to apologize for it years later in a bid to clear the air.
The YouTube influencer recalled the moment he and Charles really settled in as friends:
“He apologized and was like, ‘Yo, I am so sorry. Like that’s not what I think of you and I was a dumb kid, who was in a not great place,’ and I forgave him. I’m just happy that we got to the spot where we are now in our relationship—and that doesn’t include f**king.”
Well then!

Manny admits he and Tati aren’t anywhere close to being best friends or anything, but they are in a much better place now than they were a few months ago:
“Me and her had a fallout in our own way and I couldn’t really see anything else other than what was going on in my world. Nowadays I’m so much more open and receptive and empathetic in different ways and I feel like that comes with growth and maturity. I feel like this year I’ve grown a lot. So when Tati sent me her palette from Tati Beauty, she sent me this note on it and all the past anguish or sadness, or anything I felt towards her went away. I’m not saying we’re best friends or anything, you know? It’s not what it is, but I truly do respect her and I respect her hustle and what a hard-working woman she is and how she’s built this amazing career for herself.”
Sounds like everybody involved in that notorious feud has grown up and moved on, at least somewhat. Good to hear!
