Pregnant Rapper Yung Miami Of City Girls Is Unharmed After Scary Drive-By Shooting

Yung Miami of City Girls was the target of a drive-by shooting.

This is so freaking scary!! We’re so glad Yung Miami is OK!

Per TMZ, the pregnant rapper, who’s one half of female rap duo City Girls, was the target of a drive-by shooting in Miami, Florida on Tuesday. Fortunately, the artist, whose real name is Caresha Romeka Brownlee, and her unborn baby were unharmed.

But, damn. Who the hell would fire shots at a pregnant woman like that?? For any reason at all?!

The outlet was told by law enforcement the Miami-Dade Police Department received a call early Tuesday morning that shots were fired near Circle House Studios where Yung Miami had been recording. Reports claim the entertainer had just left the studio and was already inside of her red Mercedes G-Wagon when the shooting occurred.

When officers arrived on the scene, Brownlee explained the shots came from behind her from a vehicle with its lights off, leaving her unable to get a good look at the shooter. In the attack, several bullets struck the vehicle and one made contact the spare tire of her car.

Ugh, how awful. But in comparison to almost losing your life? We’ll take the damage to the whip any day.

Take a look at Yung Miami’s ride and hear her tell the scary story firsthand in this video captured by a witness on the scene (below):

Police are still investigating the incident, but no suspects have been reported thus far.

Just hours before everything went down, the Miami native shared a video from inside the studio with followers on her Instagram Stories. See (below):

Clearly the woman was hard at work, laying down a new feature for previous collaborator Cardi B or the follow up to her group’s debut album, Girl Code, perhaps. Who knows! This was all before things went sour…

What’s inneresting about this whole situation is the fact that just a week ago, rapper Kodak Black dissed the expectant momma in a freestyle from jail and made some pretty disgusting comments about her pregnancy.

He rapped:

“I bought Yung Miami a ring, she wanted 808 baby. When I see her I’ma hit that b***h in her stomach. The way I keep my sh*t too real, they say I’m f***ing up my money.”

Um, WTF?! Seriously dude?

What kind of sick person just casually insinuates violence against a woman (a pregnant one, no less) like that?

Not only is it vile, it’s also slightly incriminating.

For those who may not know, 808 is a reference to 808 Mafia producer, Southside, who happens to be Miami’s baby daddy. The song was reportedly made in response to Brownlee rejecting Kodak’s marriage proposal earlier this year.

Considering the timing of the assault and the questionable lyrics, is it possible Kodak Black could be a potential suspect in this case? Was this a revenge attack? It sure sounds like the guy needs some professional mental help, at the very least.

We’re not one to sound off as judge, jury, and executioner, so we’ll wait until we hear more definitive information from authorities. But tell us, what do U think about all this?
