Zach Bryan is sick of the haters.
As Perezcious readers will recall, the singer broke up with Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia back in October, and it has been a shockingly messy situation ever since! She made several bombshell allegations about their year-long relationship, including that he abused her, cheated on her, offered her $12 million after the split if she signed an NDA, and more. Not the wholesome country artist everyone thought he was, to say the least!

Zach has remained silent about the drama for weeks — other than to taunt Brianna with pictures of her cat on social media. So gross. However, the second people started going after his friends? He’s had enough! He finally spoke out on Instagram Stories on Thursday, going off on “f**king weird couch warriors” for “belittling” his pals online! According to the Pink Skies musician, people have been harassing his female friends because they assumed he already has a new “girlfriend” when that is not the case. He wrote:
“Everyone wonders why I quit touring and don’t want to be attached to music anymore meanwhile you’re calling my friends ugly and harassing them? I’m not asking for sympathy but going for my -friends- is so low and so messed up? Apparently I’ve have four different girlfriends in like two weeks meanwhile my friends and me are just laughing and hanging out like we always have.”
Zach insisted he doesn’t “have a girlfriend” and doesn’t “plan on having a girlfriend” any time soon. He says what he has are “normal friends” who he loves “very much and would go to the ends of the earth for.” And that means even going after the online trolls. He continued:
“Go give your attention and time to the literal city burning down and stop being so sad and fickle and childish through screens. Last thing I’ll ever say on this. Insane I even have to. You do not know me. You never will know me. Stop acting like you do.”
Oh, he had a lot more to say from there! Despite what allegedly happened with Brianna, Zach argued he is “allowed to have love, laughter and good people in my life.” And while the star “can take all the hatred” thrown at him, he draws the line at anyone attacking and sending “death threats” to his loved ones:
“No matter how bad of a person you think I am, go ahead and come for me. I can take all the hatred because I’m not a child. But do not come for my friends who do nothing but love and care for me. Everyone wants you to have fun and make great music but you guys are making it really hard to do that with my friends getting insulted and death threats every day.”
Death threats? Seriously? Come on. Even though you may not like the guy, understandably so, sending death threats is not OK, ever. That is taking things way too far.
Zach shared that “every day,” he loses “a little more faith in humanity” and gets “closer to never being in the public eye again.” He added on a third slide:
“I love my life. I have worked REALLY hard for it. Whether you think I suck or not. Stop being such a sad and fat fingered internet sleuths to my -friends-. We’re all humans and I’m so tired of people thinking social media is a way to have a moral high ground on people aren’t humans anymore since they can hide behind screens? Weird assholes man ok I’m done.”
Zach was, in fact, not “done.” He then took aim at people “telling me to hang in there, sympathizing with me, or giving me advice on how to handle something or things they’ve never coped with.” The Something in the Orange artist wants to make it clear he doesn’t need any help, saying:
“I lost my mother, I’ve been in war zones and I’ve battled this whole fame thing for five years. Respectfully I don’t need your unsolicited advice. I am a grown man. I promise I can get through some little bullies on the internet hahaha. I am so terrifyingly unphased by the fake s**t people say about me online but coming for people I love and care for is my line and my final straw. Okay have a good day everyone love you miss you.”
Damn. He did not hold back. Concluding his long rant, Zach shared with his followers that he’s logging off social media… for now:
“I’ve said what I need to say. My chest is still out and heads are still held high. Hopping off her for a bit seeeee ya.”
So we guess he still isn’t going to talk about any of the very alarming claims Brianna made against him and just defend himself and his friends instead. Got it. Check out all of his posts (below):
