Bah humbug!
We hope Steve Madden is in the giving mood this holiday season because according to a new lawsuit he owes Zooey Deschanel some money.
Legal docs filed on Friday claim Zooey’s agent worked out a $1.5 million endorsement deal where the shoe designer would be allowed to use the actress’ name and image to market “Zooey shoes & accessories” for 2 years.
Everything was fine until October 13th, when Madden allegedly “breached and repudiated” the agreement and refused to pay.
That’s funny.
Just one week earlier their were reports that Zooey’s celebrity doppelganger Katy Perry was working on her own shoe line with Steve Madden.
Regardless, Deschanel is asking for $1.5 million, plus interest and for Steve to pay her legal fees.
