The Show Goes On For Cate Blanchett!

wenn5217615.jpg

For a pro like Cate Blanchett, a little bleeding from the head can't keep you away from the theater!!!

Although the award-winning actress suffered an injury during a Sydney Theatre Company performance of A Streetcar Named Desire on Tuesday night, Blanchett is already returning to work!

"Cate Blanchett was accidentally struck on the head by a prop. She sustained a minor injury but felt fine soon afterwards," said Sydney Theatre manager, Rob Brookman. "Unfortunately it was necessary to cancel the rest of that performance. Cate is fine and tonight's performance will go ahead as planned."

Although theatergoers who witnessed the performance are surprised she is heading back to work so soon.

"By accident, it [prop radio] hit Cate Blanchett and she fell down on all fours," said a source.

Another witness claims, "She had blood streaming down the back of her head and blood on the back of her neck."

Yikes!

Take it easy, bb!

Cate Blanchett Injured!

wenn2521402cb.jpg

Cate Blanchett suffered a head injury during a live performance of A Streetcar Named Desire at The Sydney Theatre Company on Tuesday.

Ouch!!!!!

The actress was reportedly harmed by a prop radio thrown by fellow cast member Joel Edgerton.

The radio hit Blanchett in back of her head, drawing blood! She continued to act for 30 seconds more before running offstage.

Soon after the lights were turned on and the audience was instructed to leave the theater due to "technical difficulties."

We sure hope she's OK!

Madonna Back in the Movie Biz

wenn-madonnaa1.jpg

Once her tour is over, Madonna is said to be stepping back behind the camera!

But, the good news is that she won't be acting!

Madge has lined up a killer movie project, directing a musical based on the life of American socialite Wallis Simpson. The musical will follow Wallis' love affair with English King Edward III and sources say Madonna is looking for Cate Blanchett to play the title role and David Tennant to play Edward.

An insider reveals:

"The final script is now written and the locations have been scouted. Madonna is now trying to assemble the cast and put the finances in place. The first scene is an old woman in her nineties living on her own in a Parisian flat (apartment), she starts to tell her life story to a housekeeper and it turns out the woman is Wallis Simpson. There will be a song for every decade of her life."

We do love us some musicals!

And Madonna did quite well with Evita!

We shall remain cautiously optimistic.

The New Slutty Is….????

sienna_wenn2282645.jpg

Sluttyienna can't catch a break!

As we previously mentioned, Sienna Miller has been fired from the role of Maid Marian in Ridley Scott's new film, Nottingham, because Robin Hood himself, Russell Crowe, thought she was too young and pretty for the part.

Her replacement?

According to the Guardian, Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett may be replacing Slutty.

Does that mean that Cate is old and ugly????

Australians Love Their Celebs

aussiestampsss.jpg

Australia is celebrating some of their most notable actors by placing their images on the country's stamps.

And they're not even dead yet!

The famous Aussies, Cate Blanchett, Russell Crowe, Nicole Kidman, and Geoffrey Rush, are all getting their own stamps.

TWO stamps actually!

The 55 cent stamps (worth about 35 US cents) will feature a professional photo shot of the actors.

The second stamp will feature each of them in their most notables roles, such as Cate in Elizabeth and Crowe in Gladiator.

Cate even joked that she felt "utterly, deeply humbled and chuffed" by receiving such an honor. I'm going to be licked by millions of Australians and I can't wait."

Dirrrty girl!

Kidman says "Something like this – when you see your face on a stamp – says, 'wow'." Adding that one day her kids might be able to "lick a stamp, put it on an envelope and say, 'That's my mum'."

Could you imagine if you saw Tom Cruise on the stamps here?

Who do U think should get their own official US Stamp?

We'd like to lick Robert Pattinson!

No Surgery For Cate Blanchett

wenn2210146.jpg

The lovely Cate Blanchett reveals that her marriage of 11 years would most likely end if she ever got plastic surgery.

She says, "I haven't done anything, but who knows. Andrew said he'd divorce me if I did anything."

Cate, don't worry, you'll be married for another 5-10 years more we guess. Cuz right now you still look gorgeous!

A decade from now, well you might need a little lift. If that makes you feel better.

The 39 year-old Cate adds, "I'm not a spokesperson against the world of injectables. If you grow up in an environment where your mother gets you a boob job when you turn 18, what hope is there? But I didn’t grow up in that world. The reason I went to train as an actor was that I was interested in it for the long haul. You can become very self-obsessed, but you've got to keep looking outward."

And after having three boys, Cate should be happy she still looks so good.

She says of her life after childbirth, "When you've had children, your body changes; there's history to it. I like the evolution of that history; I'm fortunate to be with somebody who likes the evolution of that history. I think it's important to not eradicate it. I look at someone's face and I see the work before I see the person…."

So, does that mean she'll have more kids?

She adds, "Who knows? Don't close those doors. The world is very overpopulated, but we do make nice ones. They all look like Andrew. To say he has dominant genes would be an understatement."

And the actress gets even more poetic when she mentions that some people get surgery out of the fear of getting old.

She says, "If you're doing it out of fear, that fear's still going to be seen through your eyes. The windows to your soul, they say."
