Crazy, crazy!
DJ A.M. revealed in a new interview that while being treated for burns he sustained in last month's fatal plane crash, he learned of a potentially fatal blood clot in his leg:
"In the burn center, they did a scan and found that I had a blood clot that in this flight could have traveled to my heart and I could have died."
A.M. explained that the clot was a result of his frequent flying to his various gigs at clubs nationwide.
He said he's clocked almost 2 million frequent flier miles!!!
The celebrity DJ went on to say, "I have a great deal of faith that everything happens for a reason. I put myself in God's hands."
We're thankful that he's on the road to full recovery!!

Its called a DVT. you get it a lot of times from not moving around. thats what they are suggesting when they say he has flown over 2 million miles. people get them on flights because they sit still for hours. also it would have gone through his heart but ended up in his lungs which is a pulmonary embolism. his heart would have been fine. his lungs on the other hand…

Everyone who flies should be aware of the potential for bloodclots on ANY flight over 5 hours. They should tell you on the plane to get up an move around to prevent the clots. I only know b/c I lost my father to one right after he came home from vacation and flying all day and the doctors attributed his sudden heart attack to a clot. Get up and move around!

He's probably had that blood clot for awhile, and with 2 million miles flown, it it not very likely this one plane trip would have dislodged it.
You get blood clots in your legs from inactivity. Activity dislodges it usually, not sitting in a chair.

as a doctor, i know that yeah, increased periods of immobility can cause people to form blood clots in leg veins, not often can it be fatal unless u ignore the symptoms. but i dont know how many hours this dude mustve been sitting his arse down. if it was that long, he was stupid enough not to mobilise on flights more often, so it was his own fault. plus, im more that willing to bet he took alcohol on these flights, and that increases ur risks. is he a smoker?
