Kanye Feeling Less Than Confident

Kanye West says his new album – 808s & Heartbreak – is “great art” and that he doesn’t really care about sales.
That’s easy for him to say, with a couple best-selling records and awards under his belt…but it’s still cute!
Departing from his usual style, Kanye sings on most of the tracks on 808s, and his voice, though still mostly disguised through a vocoder, is raw and open, perhaps revealing a softer, less cocky side of West.
He says, “You know people sometimes don’t understand great art when they first hear it, but I am very confident in it. Whether it sells as much as the last one, or way more, I feel like I am just successful in doing something I felt really good about.”
