Knight Rider Breaks Down, No One Notices

NBC is putting the brakes on their new version of Knight Rider prematurely, bringing production to a screeching halt.

The show is being sent to the mechanic for a format overhaul, transforming it into more of a crime procedural.

The show will resume shooting in time to get out a few new episodes before its February 25th finale, but the fewer episodes means that NBC probably won’t pick it up for next season.

Despite its retro appeal, the re-imagined KITT and Knight combination just could not cut it ratings wise.

KITT will just have to drive off into the sunset!
