Debbie Phelps' upcoming memoir, A Mother for All Seasons, tackles the highs and lows of her son Michael Phelps' career littered with scandal!
Mamma Phelps' reaction to 'Bong-Gate' when her Olympic winning son was caught on camera takin' a hit of some of the good shiz?
"Déjà vu all over again," Debbie lamented.
In case you guys had forgotten, Phelps was arrested in 2004 for driving drunk when the young swimmer was only 19 years old!!
"It was unreal - like something out of a horror movie - with TV clips of jail cell doors slamming ominously shut, dooming the life and career of one golden boy turned loser," she recalled of her son's DUI.
"He actually had tried to get someone else to drive after he had a few drinks… Apparently someone in the crowd made a crack about not giving the keys to his brand-new Range Rover to someone else," Debbie revealed.

Momma Phelps was distressed over Michael's "disappointing, uncharacteristic behavior" of the toke seen around the world, but she laid the blame on herself when it came to his arrest.
Debbie concluded, "I was sure that I could have done something to better prepare Michael to make better choices."

I don't see why his behavior to be such a controversy. More importantly, if she were a good mother, how could she be so intent to capitalize upon her son's success?
I wish people wouldn't blame the parents for their kids mistakes, whether the kid is under 18 or not. Teaching your kids your own values and morals isn't always going to work. They'll come up with their own view of life at some point and people shouldn't expect anything but that, no matter how good or bad a parent is.

I'm not comparing drugs to being gay, I don't think it's okay to judge someone because of mistakes they've made or their lifestyle such as in being gay. I put that out there to compare the level of being judgemental towards a person or person becasue of what they have done or their life or their style.
I just think we all need to hold the mirror to our faces instead of always being critical and judging others becasue drugs, gay, a mean person, cuss too much whatever no one is PERFECT and we should try to teach and correct with love and respect and not forget about our own "skeletons" or flaws because we all got em!

Smoking weed is neither a mistake nor something to be ashamed of. First of all, he is the FASTEST PERSON IN THE WORLD in water. What does that say about the harmful effects of weed? It says they are negligible. Secondly, weed is only illegal because the government is full of racist bastards.
