Sandra Bullock Likes Being On Top

….Of the box office!

Sandra Bullock‘s latest flick, The Proposal, has claimed the number one spot at the U.S. Box Office this weekend.

The flick brought in over $34 million, beating the second place spot holder, The Hangover, which brought in about $27 million.

And good news for Bullock, this flick also marks her biggest opening ever!

Disney’s motion-picture group president, Mark Zoradi, reveals “I think the market was ready for a really fun, broad romantic comedy.”

Guess that’s true, as Disney’s animated flick Up came in third followed by a forth place spot with the debut of Jack Black‘s Year One.

The question now becomes, which movie was better… The Proposal or The Hangover.
