We like to see celebrities lending a helping hand!
Matt Damon has announced a new non-profit organization he has co-created called Water.org. This program seeks to provide safe, clean water access to nearly 890 million people and help out more than 2.5 billion people who aren’t fortunate enough to have safe water sanitation.
The actor and humanitarian partnered with Gary White, the head of WaterPartners, to create this organization. Matt explains the importance of the program by saying, “Every 15 seconds, a child in the developing world dies from water-related disease. After visiting project sites in Africa and Asia with Gary, I’ve seen the problem and the impact of safe water.”
Good work fellas. A noble cause.
