We respect that Christianity doesn't approve of it, but we aren't asking for a change in the bible, but in the law. This is where SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE come in, and the Christians need to open their eyes and keep their religion out of the laws that are written.
Yeah that's the biggest contradiction I've ever seen. He doesn't believe in same sex marriage, but feels that all people should be valued and respected. It seems to me that gay people are not being valued and respected if they cannot get married.

You are either gay or straight. There is nothing else, and there will always be gay people who contribute to society, pay taxes, and have families, like everyone else. When you have a child who is, or could be gay, won't it be lovely to not want what they are entitled to like everyone else. Not allowing gay marriage, is against the Constitution of the United States, and it's embarrassing that other countries are now passing America by in their progression.
