When his contract runs out in June, Didier Drogba is going to leave the soccer club, Chelsea, the team he's been a striker for for 8 years.

He was recently spotted canoodling with Rihanna at a night club in London.

Is he leaving Chelsea for her??!

Probably not for her, but it could open possibilities. He released a statement that said:

"I wanted to put an end to all the speculation and confirm that I am leaving Chelsea. It has been a very difficult decision for me to make, but I am very proud of what we have achieved. As a team we have accomplished so much, and have won every single trophy possible. Saturday was a very special moment for everyone at the club and for all the fans, and I am very proud to have played my part in bringing many trophies to this club which has been my home for the last eight years.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at the club especially Roman [Abramovich], and my team-mates, many of whom have become very close friends and will be my friends for life. I would also like to say a very special thank you to the Chelsea fans, who have shown me so much love and support over the years.

I wish the club all the best and continued success for the future – you will always be in my heart."

Drogba is leaving behind one heck of a legacy. In his 341 appearances for Chelsea he scored 157 goals.

That's cray cray!

We're sure Chelsea fans everywhere are sad to see him go but maybe now he'll be free to pursue Rihanna.

We wonder if we'll see the two together anytime soon…

Again, probably not, especially because Drogba is married with three children!

We guess Rihanna will just have to find someone else. You always want what you can't have.

Could The Wanted and One Direction be joining forces to form a SUPERboyband?!

Contrary to what some may think, the two Brit-based groups are NOT feuding over the love of fans’ hearts from all over the world…in fact, it's quite the opposite!

We're so glad that they're making this stop during their Mylo Xyloto touring -- Coldplay is going to headline the closing ceremonies of the London Paralympic Summer Games!

They call it the Festival of Flame.

Here's what Chris Martin had to say:

"Being asked to play at the closing celebrations for the Paralympic athletes in London is such a great honor for us. We are so happy to be involved. It will be one of the biggest nights of our lives and we're very excited to try to create a performance for the last night of the games that will close London 2012 in style."

Their excitement is contagious!

The show will be held at the Olympic Stadium attended by athletes with physical disabilities from around the globe.

Don't worry, though, because the rest of the world will get to see it too: it's being broadcasted to a worldwide audience of over 750 million! You're probably one of those!

We may have a new obsession on our hands!

We definitely have an instacrush on Foxes, and not just because we're an Anglophile. But those Brits really do it sooooo well!

Foxes reminds us of some of our favorite UK ladies. She's got touches of Marina & The Diamonds, Bat For Lashes and Clare Maguire.

Her song Let Go For Tonight is brilliant!

Kate Bush gives her approval, we are sure!

Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie flexed their cash wad and spent an incredible £10,000, including £2,000 for Harry Potter gear for their children.

Some of the highlights of their shopping magical journey included a £400 chess set and a £74.95 wand display case including a whole assortment of wands!

Thought the Brangelina Brood was magical before? Just wait until they start riding on brooms and casting spells!

Here's what a source said on the engaged couple's shopping bonanza:

“They spent three hours on the toy floor, mostly in the Harry Potter section. Although they refused the offer of a private shopping experience, they were flanked by six big security blokes. The stars also bought other toys and some clothes, with the whole shop clocking in at £10,000.”

Now that's how you buy your children presents!

Rihanna was recently at London's O2 Arena for Kanye and Jay-Z's Watch The Throne tour.

After the show, she went to party at Boujis nightclub, where she met up with a soccer player for Chelsea, Didier Drogba.

Riri was so into Drogba that she apparently had her PR call him over to her table and the two of them spent ten minutes talking.

Then he left to continue partying it up at the club.

After they met, Rihanna immediately took to twitter, posted a pic (above) and wrote:

"THEE DIDIER DROGBA #thereisaGod."

She was obviously smitten -- and who wouldn't be, just look at him.

We wonder if they "met up" after the club for some one on one time...

We LOVE Cher Lloyd!

We recently had the British singer perform at our big SXSW party. We've interviewed her in the past. And we supported her from day 1 when she was a contestant on U.K. X Factor!

We're especially excited that she's in America now and releasing music here, because her album is soooo good!!!

We chatted with Cher about X Factor, of course, as well as Simon, Britney joining the show in the U.S., working with L.A. Reid and being signed to his label, why she loves the U.S., recording new songs for her album release here, pop music, being famous overnight - and so much more!
