Jay Z is pulling out all the stops to keep Tidal afloat!
Earlier this week, the Holy Grail rapper defended the slow start of his new streaming service in a Twitter rant, reminding us that iTunes wasn't built in a day.
Now, the music mogul announced plans for a "b-sides" concert, featuring songs that haven't been performed in a decade — or ever!
The catch? You have to sign up for Tidal to see it, of course!
The concert, set for May 13 at an "intimate New York City venue," will be live-streamed on Tidal's website for subscribers to see.
Fans can also win tickets to the concert by creating a playlist on Tidal and sharing it on Twitter with hashtag #TIDALXJAYZ!
The winners will be chosen based on the diversity of artists and genres as well as the quality of sequencing — so brush off those mixtaping skills, y'all!

That changed on Sunday afternoon after the Holy Grail rapper prepared the Twitterverse for a "stream of consciousness coming," counting down to an inevitable Twitter rant of #TidalFacts.
Even without the hashtag, it's obvious why the music mogul is speaking out for his company Tidal. The rapper's streaming service is getting washed over by waves of criticism from regular users to fellow artists.
After all the negative press, Tidal has plummeted out of the Top 500 most-downloaded apps, while competitors Pandora and Spotify are at an all time high.
So, the rapper took to the interwebs to remind everyone that Rome (aka iTunes) wasn't built in a day, and he's in it for the long haul!

Parents will do anything to protect their baby.
This week, it's been reported the power couple's album is still underway. And it will be exclusively available on — you guessed it — Tidal!
Fuse host DJ Skee reported on Wednesday that Jay and Bey's record is nearly done and will "be released exclusively" on Jay's streaming service, which promises to be a better royalty deal for artists.
This highly anticipated album might just be what Tidal needs to give it an extra wind, as the company has sunk down out of the US iPhone top 700 download chart since its debut in March!
This joint project with his wife will mark Jay's fifth collaboration album, the most recent being 2011's Watch The Throne with bestie Kanye West — who, by the way, has recently deleted all of his social media support of Tidal. Inneresting…

Jay Z made big waves announcing the launch of his streaming service Tidal, which aimed to make streaming music a better deal for artists and a pricier deal for consumers.
Tidal's social media push included a star studded spokes-panel of Mr. Carter's friends. Beyoncé, Kanye West, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj and more of the industry's wealthiest artists urged users to switch to Tidal because of it's "high fidelity" sound.
But the public didn't seem to buy into the spectacle. After a couple of weeks into its release, the streaming service made less of a splash and more of a doggy paddle, barely competing with their streaming nemeses Spotify and Pandora.
Tidal cracked the US iPhone top 20 download chart for two weeks before it sunk all the way down out of the top 700! And they've only made their enemies stronger — Pandora and Spotify took the No. 3 and No. 4 positions of the US iPhone revenue chart!
It looks like the company's anti-Spotify movement only increased the public awareness of the streaming service!

Jay Z is one lucky man.
Bey dons not one, but two, sexy swimsuits. And at the end of the video, she's shown without makeup in what appears to naked in bed!
Little Blue Ivy isn't anywhere to be seen — sometimes mommy and daddy need some sexy alone time!

Well this does NOT sound like good news for Tidal!
It's been less than a month since Jay Z launched his premium music streaming service, and the company is apparently already undergoing a MAJOR personnel change!
Andy Chen, who was a CEO of the Tidal's parent company, Aspiro Group, has reportedly stepped down and will be replaced by former Aspiro CEO Peter Tonstad!
The news comes on the heels of reports that up to 25 more Tidal employees have already been let go. However, the company says that "less than half" of that reported number have actually left.
Tidal released a statement on the big change, saying:
We stopped by STAR Magazine's Hollywood Rocks event last night and got to chat with music producer Deputy, who's latest work includes Rihanna's hit single Bitch Better Have My Money!
In an EXCLUSIVE red carpet interview, Deputy dished on the controversy surrounding the track, like the allegations that it was stolen from the Just Brittany song Betta Have My Money.
He also shot down rumors that the song is directed at Jay Z and Beyoncé. Sorry to disappoint anyone who wanted a Bey-RiRi feud, but according to Deputy the song was written before Rihanna came into the picture!
The producer also teases what we can expect from the songstress' upcoming R8 album!
