Bristol Palin’s dance moves may be a standout on Dancing With The Stars, but something else is standing out as well.
She’s not losing any weight.
In fact, compared to the 20-year-old’s petite frame in May, she may have put on weight!
How can this happen when Kelly Osbourne credits the show for helping her lose 50 pounds?
Don’t freak out and start spreading scandalous rumors, because experts are saying it’s completely normal.
When people work out they are often toning their muscles, which weights more than fat.
Another factor could be the stress of winning may be causing her to overeat. Elisa Zied, a registered dietician and author of Nutrition at Your Fingertips points out:
"Even if you're doing vigorous activity like dancing, pressures could lead you to over-consume calories if you're seeking comfort in food and this is a girl who is definitely under the microscope in many ways."
The single mother has noticed her body’s reaction (or lack of reaction) to the rigorous dancing workouts and doesn’t seem to mind, saying:
"I haven't really noticed a change in [my body]. I think most people lose weight [on the show] because they're too stressed out to eat. I haven't had that problem!"
Let's also not forget that we're literally watching Bristol's transformation from teenager to a young woman, so it's a no brainer that her body is going through a natural transformation into adulthood.
Regardless, the little Palin is doing a phenomenal job on the show and we wish her the best of luck as she nears her final dance off in the competition!
