So close, but so far!

Nothing could more accurately describe the moment Tommy Wiseau stormed the Golden Globes stage after James Franco won Best Actor for portraying the oddball filmmaker in The Disaster Artist.

After Franco's name was called, Wiseau bolted from the far back of the room to meet James and his little brother/costar Dave Franco onstage — and headed straight for the microphone.

You could almost hear everyone in the room cheering him on! This was finally his moment of glory!

But alas, Wiseau was mic-blocked by a grinning Franco at the last second, and the world was denied what could have been the best acceptance speech of all time.

Needless to say, everyone (including Seth Rogen) was wondering just what The Room star would have said had he gotten the chance. Speaking to the LA Times, Wiseau said his message would have been:

Congratulations to James Franco!

The Disaster Artist star was named 2018's Golden Globes award winner for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy! As his movie and role were based off the notoriously bad Tommy Wiseau project, The Room, Franco had the Polish filmmaker join him on stage. AH-Mazing!!

James' acceptance speech took another sweet turn when he brought his brother and costar, Dave Franco up on stage with him. *Sniff*

While the 39-year-old was the obvious frontrunner for this category he nabbed the prize away from several A-listers. He beat out Steve Carell, Ansel Elgort, Hugh Jackman, and Daniel Kaluuya.

Way to go, James!!!

According to the caption, she was touched up by special makeup effects creator Rick Baker for an unnamed movie that was never finished or released because Garner was pregnant with son Samuel (now 5).

We are so excited for The Disaster Artist!

James Franco and Dave Franco's star-studded movie about the making of The Room is getting rave reviews — unlike its subject matter.

But if you're still wondering why the heck it's even worth telling the story of some crappy movie, you have no idea what you're in for.

The Room is beyond BAD, it's mind-bogglingly stupid, strange, and ill-conceived on every level!!

And after reading our brief history, there's no way you'll be able to NOT go see the Franco retelling…
