Summer's almost over, and Netflix is dropping some educational titles in September to get us in back-to-school mode!

Next month, the streaming service will take you to class(ics) with films like Dead Poets Society, Pocahontas, and City of God — not to mention, originals including First They Killed My Father and Season 1 of The Magic School Bus Rides Again!

Don't worry, September's haul isn't all scholarly. The month will also bring a wave of mindless entertainment like Disney's live action Beauty and the Beast and the first half of Fuller House's third season!

RANK: What Netflix Shows Are YOU Watching??

Of course, we'll also be saying goodbye to a number of titles — farewell, The Omen, Scream, and Jackass: The Movie — but what we're getting in return is a pretty sweet trade-off!

See which titles are arriving and departing the streaming platform (below)!

Aly & AJ

Was anyone else jamming to Aly & AJ's new single Take Me all weekend??

As we reported, the Disney sisters released their first music as Aly & AJ (they tried their hand at being 78violet for a bit) in 10 years on Friday — and hot off the heels of the exciting re-brand, the singers posed for Playboy and opened up about their hiatus and how much they've grown over the years!

When asked about how much they've changed since their days in the Hollywood Records-Disney ecosystem, AJ responded:

"How can you not after 10 years? Aly's gotten married. We no longer live together. We've made film. We produced it, we starred in it, we raised the money for it … We just lost the love a little bit, you know, we had experienced so much as kids and I kind of feel like we learned a lot about the industry that put a little bit of a bad taste in our mouth, whether it was a couple of people we worked with or whether it was just trying to find the right inspiration or what have you. I just feel like we're back on track with who we are as musicians and I think we had found that as actors and as performers before we had found it as musicians again. So, this is the time that felt right and here we are. I just think we've learned a ton in regards to relationships and just how we view the world and how we look at politics and religion and so many things that we wouldn't have talked about 10 years ago."

demi lovato performs in pouring rain gma

Demi Lovato refused to let downpouring rain ruin her Good Morning America appearance.

On Friday, the former Disney darling stopped by GMA as part of their Summer Concert Series. And while the weather wasn't ideal for an outdoor show in Central Park, the A-lister didn't back out of the gig as she performed a slew of her chart toppers in the rain.

Obi-Wan Kenobi Is Getting His Own Standalone Star Wars Movie!

Last Jedi our ass!

It's been reported that a stand-alone Star Wars movie centering around Obi-Wan Kenobi is in the works, and it's already moving at light speed.

Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that there's no script for the project just yet, but Disney and Lucasfilm are already in talks with Billy Elliot director Stephen Daldry to helm the space spinoff!

Daldry would oversee the development and writing if he signs on. It is not known yet if Ewan McGregor will reprise his role.

Hopefully, the production of this solo film doesn't see the same turbulence as the Han Solo movie, which earlier this year encountered a director shakeup resulting in Ron Howard stepping up for the final stages of shooting.

It also looks like Disney is just getting started milking the force. The studio has been looking at movies featuring Yoda and space bounty hunter Boba Fett. (We can't until they announce a trilogy about Princess Leia's hologram!)

As for McGregor, the actor has said he would be open to playing the Jedi again — but sources stressed that since there is no script, no actor is attached to the project just yet.

Thoughts??
