Eric Dane was asked by reporters what he thought of Katherine Heigl submitting herself for a Best Supporting Actress Emmy award to which he responded:

"For what?"

HA! When reporters told him for Grey's Anatomy, he tried to back track saying, "Oh! It's great. Fantastic! I love it! Why?"

As for an Emmy of his own, Dane explains:

"I don't even know if I've ever submitted myself for an Emmy. I really honestly never thought about myself as getting nominated, or have thought about an Emmy at all to be honest with you. I've never given it much thought. But hey, it would be wonderful."

We think anyone deserves an Emmy over Heigl!

Eric Dane decided to remind the world why he was christened McSteamy on Grey's Anatomy yesterday when he went for a little swim while on vacation in Portofino, Italy!
