In the middle of rocking it out, the iconic group took a pause to chant "No Trump, No KKK, No Fascist USA" for a good solid minute. The pointed slam has been the consistent battle cry of protesters throughout the country, so it's pretty cool Green Day decided to take some inspiration from the American people!
While the highlight of the performance was the trio's brave dig at Drumpf, the production was incredible as a whole. These guys do NOT mess around when it comes to rock!
Now all we have to do is wait for Trump to lick the cheeto dust off his little fingers and get to tweeting… y'all know it's coming.
So it's no wonder they were given the World Icon Award at theMTVEMAs! Of course, the rock group couldn't help but take a shot at the intense election drama that's going on in the U.S. right now. Not only did G.D. say they were HAPPY to be out of the States, but they also performed American Idiot!
Tell us how YOU really feel guys! Classic, Green Day.
Although, with everything that Donald Trumphas brought to this election we can't blame them for being cynical. LOLz!
Be sure to ch-ch-check out their full performance for yourself (above)!
We mean, late night hosts across the country had quite the field day mocking POTUS for this major political blunder. Not only did Stephen Colbert turn Trump's failure into a School House Rock parody, but Seth Meyers even compared the Trumpster to a '90s sitcom dad. HIGHlarious!
Obviously, Stephen and Seth weren't the only late night hosts to chime in on the headline making news. Be sure to ch-ch-check out the other burns your favorite nighttime personalities dished out on Monday evening (below)!
