Tom Cruise took a little bit of time out of his busy schedule to hit up the Staples Center for some Stanley Cup Playoff action!
But it wasn't the Los Angeles Kings' impressive 3-0 victory over the San Jose Sharks that caught his eye. It was Pia Toscano!
The former American Idol was on hand to sing The Star-Spangled Banner, and apparently the actor was SOO blown away he just had to give her some props himself!
Why didn't anyone step up to help this poor girl?? The whole crowd had to do something near the end, after an agonizing few minutes!!
A lot of people give singers flak when they mess up the national anthem, knowing that everyone's been singing it for years (and still, this woman might be Canadian, we're not positive!) — but guess what?? Just because you've known it since you were a kid doesn't mean that you've been singing it in front of thousands of people staring at you since you were a kid!!
We TOTALLY feel for this girl during the Memorial Cup Halifax vs Portland match, where she flubbed the anthem to the point of making everyone cringe (and some awful people laughed!) — but we can't blame her at all!
Keep your head up and learn from your mistakes! Next time might be better, and we hope you DO get a next time!
This reporter at a recent L.A. Kings game should probably get some unpaid leave for this — if not for his super dumb congratulations to Matthew Perry for his show Go On getting canceled, then for how awkward he made the entire world feel when he did it!
LOLz!
Seriously, it's like watching a real life Curb Your Enthusiasm!
Luckily, Matthew Perry takes it in stride, hiding his contempt well though an amazing joke about how his career was taking up time that could be used to watch Kings games anyway! Ha!
Check it out (above)! We'd rather watch Matthew on Kiss Cam any day — soooo awkward!

Former hockey player Derek Boogaard died in 2011 from an accidental overdose of painkillers and alcohol, and now his family is filing a wrongful death lawsuit againt the NHL.
An autopsy revealed that the late New York Ranger suffered from Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) at the time of his death, which is caused by taking multiple blows to the head and suffering from concussions throughout his career.
The family's attorney William Gibbs claims the trauma caused Derek to become addicted to his pain medication, saying:
What better way to show your love for someone than to shove your tongue down their throat during a hokey kiss-cam moment during an L.A. Kings game??
Try being Matthew Perry and have the game be a Stanley Cup Playoff game! LOLz!
That's exactly what happened in this video (above)! Matthew is obviously against the idea at first, then he blows our minds!
Ha!
Love is best when it's on ice!
Danica Patrick is doing JUST FINE after her divorce! She isn't holed up in her home or anything of the sort, and actually when to a Chicago Blackhawks hockey game to attempt the center ice shot during intermission!
Her first shot? You best believe it was a goal, bitches!!
Her other shots?? Well… let's just focus on the fact that she sank the first one! LOLz!!
Check out her mastery of yet another sport (above)!!

Sexism sucks, and we're pretty offended by a certain Chicago Blackhawks hockey player named Duncan Keith and the things he said to a sports reporter.
Let's set the scene: Vancouver just scored a pretty easy and flawless goal, so Duncan decided to hit the scorer with his hockey stick like a little baby. The thing is, there was no injury and no call on it. In fact, Vancouver still went on to win.
Duncan was pretty lucky to get that hissy fit in for free, so he quit while he was ahead, right? WRONG. Karen Thompson, a reporter from Vancouver, brought it up in an interview later. This is how he reacted:
