Jennifer Lopez showed up on the red carpet of the 2009 MTV VMAs tonight dressed like THAT.

Though we're not too sure how we feel about the outfit.

We know leopard print is in, but wearing leopard print heels with a black purse, those earrings, and that '90s braided ponytail….

Just too much going on.

On the plus side, it looks like she's still trying to portray that whole "happy marriage" image, as she showed up with Skeletor on her arm and was rocking her wedding ring.

Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, and their little ones Emme and Max were seen leaving their hotel in Rome for a day of sightseeing as they headed off to the isle of Ischia.

Skeletor just gets hotter as the days pass by doesn't he?

At least Emme and Max seem to have gotten more of J-Lo's genes.

As we mentioned earlier, Jennifer Lopez celebrated her 40th birthday with a surprise party this past weekend at the Edison Ballroom in New York City.

And reports were that the diva was visibly upset at the fact that so many guests showed up late or didn't bother to show up at all.

So now she must be really peeved at this: Turns out Ricky Martin couldn't leave fast enough from the shindig!

According to insiders, Martin got to the party and stayed just long enough to pretend to eat his meal.

After about 30 minutes, the Latin hottie bailed the party to meet up with fashion exec Wilfredo Rosado for dinner in SoHo.

Wonder if the two were just talking "business"?

As for J. Lo, we can only assume her party sucked shitballs.

At Jennifer Lopez's surprise 40th birthday party at the Edison Ballroom in NYC on Saturday, the actress threw a fit over the lack of timeliness of her guests.

"Jennifer's party was very intimate, and there were a noticeable amount of empty seats when the dinner started. Jennifer was really irritated. She was fuming because people were late, and complained about it really loudly to Marc," says an attendee. "Jennifer was visibly upset and embarrassed."

Those who found themselves on the diva's shiz list included Alicia Keys, boyfriend Swiss Beatz and the few who didn't attend, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

Other guests included the oddly combination of Ricky Martin, Liza Minnelli, Leah Remini, L.A. Reid and Gayle King.

"After Jennifer got over her initial irritation, she let go and looked like she was having the time of her life, drinking champagne and partying until 4 a.m. It was definitely a good way to kick-start her 40s," continues the source.

You're never too old to for divalicious behavior!

Motherhood has chilled Jennifer Lopez the eff out!

No more skimpy green dresses or wild parties with rappers for this lady. Working and being a mama has provided us with a happier, friendlier, less skanky J.Lo.

It's also one with less of a career, but - hey - that's the tradeoff!

La Lopez recently did an interview and did nothing but talk about her children- present and future. She admits that she and hubby Marc Anthony would love to have more kids, but are enjoying the little ones they already have running around.

She says, "They're more than walking now … They're starting to talk. I put Max to bed yesterday … and I said, 'I love you baby. I'll see you tomorrow.' And he was like, 'I love you.' "

Aw, sweet.

She also recognizes that being a mom is the reason for her transformation: "You just mature so quickly in such a deep way and you think life is short and you have to just go for things. You can't be afraid to try or do you best … just do it and that's the example I want to set for my children as well. It's like you can do anything. The only thing that ever holds us back is fear… It's a useless emotion."

Can't you just feel the positive vibes radiating off each word?

So sickeningly sweet!

The kids could choke?!

Jennifer Lopez received a beautiful surprise for her twins, Max and Emme, on the Tribeca set of her film The Backup Plan.

You bet she refused it!!!

Neighborhood store Balloon Saloon sent over two bunches of balloons for the twins, but J.Lo's bodyguard instantly denied the gift! They returned it back to the store.

How rude!

Guess the diva has a fear of toys and anything that brings her children happiness!

We can't wait for their teenage years!!!
