That damn Brainy Smurf, thinking he's all that and shiz!

Alan Cumming, who has already been added to the list of fabulous voice actors in the upcoming Smurf movie, explained that taking on the role of Brainy Smurf will be Inglourious Bastards filmmaker Quentin Tarantino.

Interesting choice for an interesting cast. He joins the already announced Jonathan Winters as Papa Smurf, Katy Perry as Smurfette, George Lopez as Grouchy Smurf, and Neil Patrick Harris as the human protagonist.

Is there a Gossipy Smurf? If there isn't, there should be! Hook us up!

And those drunkards were Guy Ritchie and Jason Statham!

Katy Perry must be having quite the effect on fiance Russell Brand because he didn't have one drink while pAArtying with the guys on Sunday at the Weinstein-Montblanc pre-Oscar party! He was having enough fun!

"Russ was in hysterics when Jason and Guy were so tipsy they almost fell out of their Bentley and tried to get into the wrong entrance of Soho House," claims a source.

Rich people problems if we ever heard any! Hope you didn't hurt yourself falling out of your expensive car to find your way to the exclusive club.

Pass! No one wants the aisle to smell like Jack Daniels and covered in glitter!

In a recent interview, Ke$ha expressed an interest in Katy Perry's upcoming nuptials. As in, she wants to be apart of them. She explained that she hoped Katy would ask her to be a bridesmaid and that her future hubby could introduce her to an available Brit.

Unlikely on both accounts!

It's official!

Katy Perry will be lending her voice to the new live-action/CGI Smurfs flick as the only little blue lady of the bunch, Smurfette!

She'll be smurfing alongside talents such as Alan Cumming, George Lopez, Jonathan Winters and recently announced lead Neil Patrcik Harris.

Boy, if this were any other movie than the Smurfs, we would be getting REALLY excited. At present, we are only mildly delighted.

Katy Perry is gracing the cover of this month's Nylon magazine, and she not only spills the deets on her new tunes and Russell Brand, but she gives her thoughts on her partners in pop music - including GaGaloo, Ke$ha, Rihanna and Taylor Swift!!

On differentiating herself from the other pop princesses:
"You've got GaGa, who's like, from outer space; you've got Ke$ha, who's the beer-drinking, house-party girl; and then you've got Rihanna, who's transforming the urban world into her own outer space. But I feel like you're missing an Alanis Morissette, in 2010. I love how she was a voice for a lot of people who couldn't explain their feelings. But it's not like I'm not gonna compete. I love a good dose of healthy competition. It's not going to be the same that they're doing…"

On how she's really just Taylor Swift:
"Sometimes I really feel like I'm more of a Taylor Swift. She tells stories, and I think that's why she resonates with a lot of people. She hits the hidden chord in them [where they say], 'Oh my God, I've been through that too,' or 'You said it in a way I could never explain.'"

On how she had to go through the five stages of GaGa to reach OBSESSION:
"When I heard The Fame Monster, I was like, 'What the fuck is she talking about - teeth and he ate my heart and monster and dance in the dark and shit?' I thought she was such a shock jock. Then I saw her on the American Music Awards, and I was like, 'You're an animal of another kind, and we need you!' She's amazing. She's an entertainer, a visual arts. And her lyrics do mean things when you actually break them down."

On her British boo:
"Love has really affected [my songwriting]. I know how to handle a man now. So it's talking about the love rather than, you know, being annoyed with boys. He's like Jim Morrison meets Charles Manson meets Jesus meets a little bit of Elvis. He's a walking genius. Just standing next to him makes me smarter. He's good for me. He's not a pussy in any way, shape or form. He's the boss; he calls the shots. But I like that. I've been waiting for someone I couldn't steamroll."

Looks like Katy Perry might have accidentally ruined her own engagement proposal.

Turns out Ms. Perry knew her beau Russell Brand would soon be proposing to her after she read about it online!

We mentioned rumors of a proposal on December 28th, but the actual proposal took place on New Year's Eve in India.

Says Miz Perry:

"Unfortunately, I still Google myself sometimes. I saw it on Google alerts. I'm going to be honest!"

Despite knowing of the proposal, we're still betting she was excited it happened.

Next time while on vacation, try to keep the Google time to a minimum!

With all the star power to be had at last night's Grammys, you would think Snooki could have stayed awake long enough to enjoy it!

Katy Perry posted this picture of herself with the Jersey Shore star from when she pulled up the festivities yesterday. Note fiance Russell Brand in the backseat, not giving a shit less about the pint-sized orange reality princess!

First it was Kara vs. Katy, now this!!

On last night's American Idol, the always funny and always seksi Neil Patrick Harris took his spot at the table as the guest judge for Texas auditions, and, like a true pro, didn't back down from Simon Cowell when the two disagreed - which, if you were tuned in, proved to be quite frequently.

When one Idol hopeful performed a jazz-influenced tune, Harris told her it was "quite great." Simon quipped back "Under normal circumstances you wouldn't be interested. If it was Jazz TV, yes."

Cowell was put in his place when Kara and Randy sided with our future boyfriend.

Guess Simon has to unload the insults while he still can, so we'll forgive him for the attack. But only this once.
