Don't worry, little one…the first time is always the scariest!

A baby koala cutie has discovered the delicacy of leaves for the first time.

After a bit of hesitation…he digs right in!

But he had to make sure mama says its okay!

Check out this super ADORBz koala (above) in action has he tries his first few leaves!

So CUTEZ!!! But he's not ready to come out yet!

Empress and Flynn welcomed a koala joey to the world a few months ago and the little one has decided to take its first peeks at the outside world.

Before he fully surveys his new world, the joey will spend at least one more month

This is not very good news for koalas and their fans alike!

The cutie animal is set be listed as a threatened species by Australia. Koala numbers are dwindling, especially in Gunnedah, a formerly koala heavy area that is now 75 percent less than its population in 1993.

Koalas will be listed as endangered in Queensland and vulnerable in New South Wales east of the Great Dividing Range, but activists don't think this is enough.

Environmentalists believe that Parliament wants to protect mining interests with these areas, so some areas in need of protection will still be compromised.

But Environment Minister Tony Burke wants to ensure the public this is not the case.

He states:

I've heard very clearly from the community that people want to make sure that we protect the koala, one of Australia's most iconic species.

'We know that koalas are under pressure in some parts of Australia while they are abundant in others.

But I can't provide a blanket threatened species listing across Australia when there are many places where koala numbers remain high

Sad…everything possible needs to be done to help the koala!

One Direction leading man Harry Styles enjoyed some cuddle time with this cutie koala in Brisbane, Australia.

Harry stopped by the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary where he met his new friend.

Hopefully, Harry didn't try to take him home.

We had no idea koalas could run!

That'd be like finding out sloths can dance.

Yabbra the koala spends most of his time hanging around (or sleeping) in his outdoor enclosure at the Edinburgh Zoo.

But sometimes, he gets to walk the halls.

And when he gets set free, watch out, cause this normally slow creature can really get moving.
