Wow. The CW must be feeling confident that the show's ratings are gonna pick up this coming season!

According to reports, Gossip Girl is going to have an extra long season next year to make up for the episodes missed due to the writer's strike.

The CW is set to make a formal announcement about the extra long season (24 episodes!) at its big upfront event next week.

Additionally, Michelle Trachtenberg is expected to become a full-time cast member on GG!

Y'all can also expect to see Hamptons-based episodes of Gossip Girl.

Um…we will also get to see Fire Island through the eyes of Serena's little bro, Eric?

We better!

Yesterday, we told you how Chace Crawford and Carrie Underwood recently broke up….VIA TEXT MESSAGE!

Well, it seems Chace isn't letting his split stop him for picking up chicks.

He's too pretty to sit around at home moping, especially if he was the douche doing the dumping!

Chace is currently shooting Gossip Girl with new cast member, Michelle Trachtenberg.

Turns out, people are spotting the two of them allegedly getting quite "cozy" - with reports of the two constantly flirting.

Friends of Trachtenberg tell us these reports are false and that she's happily dating someone else.

Good thing! We'd hate for her if things didn't work out to get dumped….via text!

The Buffy alum is taking over the role offered to Mischa Barton, who thankfully declined - cuz her (non)career's so busy and shit!

Michelle will play Georgina Sparks.

Sparks will head to Manhattan, after a stint in rehab, and will shake up the life of Blake Lively's character, Serena van der Woodsen.

And, if she's lucky, she will get to make out with the newly single Chace Crawford!

She is SO much better than Mushy!

The Hollywood Reporter breaks news that Michelle Trachtenberg has made a deal to appear on multiple episodes of Gossip Girl.

The Buffy alum is set to play Georgina Sparks. Sparks will head to Manhattan, after a stint in rehab, and will shake up the life of Blake Lively's character, Serena van der Woodsen. In other words, Michelle will be the bitch. We love it!

As you may recall, Mischa Barton was being considered for the role, but she allegedly backstabbed the producers and just used them for publicity.

Thank God she's not on it!! It would have been the end of GG.

Trachtenberg is just getting all the luck this year. She's appearing in the comedy Kids in America, but even better, she just recently wrapped up filming Seventeen Again, where she stars with Zac Efron. Yummy!

You know Perez is the original Gossip Girl. Maybe we should play a cameo part on the show and expose some scandalous photos of Trachtenberg's character.

Or they should make Chace Crawford's character gay and we could be his new boyfriend! That HAS to happen!
