It's about time!
It'd been a while since we made a video with Momma Perez!
A lot has happened!
She changed her hair color. She's traveled the world. She saw Madonna in concert. And we've begun family therapy!
Teresita and Perezito talk about all that and more (above)!
Check it out!!!
We are sad to leave!!!
Berlin has been such an awesome time!!!!
Amazing, rich, vibrant, historical, beautiful city! And amazing people! And the food! Oh, the food!!!!
We've loved everything about our stay here!
On our last day in Berlin we ventured outside the city and explored Potsdam, Sanssouci and Cecilienhof. Plus, we had some amazing last meals!
We need to come back! And we MUST explore other parts of Germany!
Such a busy second day in Berlin!
This is a MUST VISIT city for any lovers of history and world travel!
There is soooooo much to see and do!
We walked around some amazing neighborhoods in West Berlin, checked out the museums in East Berlin, saw some very important historical sites, ate some amazing German food and more!
In other words, this trip has been a-m-a-z-i-n-g!!!!
And, it's so much more meaningful because we get to share it with our mom! We're so lucky to have such a great one!
Tuesday night we had the pleasure of attending the launch of Beth Ditto's new collection for MAC Cosmetics!
We love MAC (especially their cleansing Wipes and Fix spray)! And we love and go way back with Beth Ditto!
It was soooo lovely to get to catch up with the Gossip frontwoman and watch her perform at the launch party too!
She is such a force of nature! So ferociously talented!
Her voice is so powerful! And her playing-by-her-own-rules attitude is so inspiring!
We LOVE that MAC chose her to be in business with!
Major win all around!
Berlin is such a fascinating city! Not only is it historically rich and super important, which we were expecting, but it is also one of the most architecturally stunning places we have ever visited. A total surprise!
What makes Berlin so architecturally interesting is that SO MUCH of it is new, built after the Wall came down in the last 20 years.
From Frank Gehry to I.M. Pey, the most renowned architects in the world have new and breathtaking buildings here!
And the government buildings are so beautiful as well! It is really special to see how they use glass as a symbol of transparency and the extra efforts they put in their architecture - truly going above and beyond - to consciously and subconsciously promote the message of reunification and repentance.
Everywhere you go in Berlin there are traces of the past, seamless incorporated into the present and not hidden away. Like the one remaining watch tower from the cold war days we saw near Check Point Charlie.
Old buildings were destroyed from the inside out but their facades often remained intact and painstaking work went into recreating and re-purposing those structures.
And it is just so powerful to go and see the remnants of the Wall. To go and visit all of these places that have played such an important part in history. And to see and hear about it first-hand.
Really powerful stuff! Really amazing trip!
Thankful we are here and that we get to spend a few more days in Berlin!
Istanbul, it's been swell!
Two lovely and leisurely days exploring this great Turkey city and enjoying their delicious food!
It's been so nice to see the sights, hear the history and - for a change of pace - just walk around. A lot. And walk some more.
We put Momma Perez through the paces! Ha
Tomorrow, we are off to Berlin for an awesome Mac Cosmetics event on Tuesday with Beth Ditto. And we can't wait to see the city! We've never been before!
Life is good! So good!
We will always think very fondly of this very special trip to a very special city!
Istanbul with Teresita! Just Momma Perez and us!
We love traveling! And we love history! And we love our mom! So we are filled with so much love right now!
We had a beautiful day in Istanbul on Saturday! We soaked in the beauty of the Hagia Sophia, visited a beautiful mosque, ate way too much baklava, enjoying Momma Perez doing her thing at the iconic Bazaar and went on a private cruise along the Bosphorus.
And we have another day left here before we go to Berlin!
Happy! Happy! Happy!
