Woo hoo!

New reports claim that Broadway production giant James Nederlander is working on a Thriller-inspired broadway musical.

Ghouls, iconic choreography and Michael Jackson's music…sounds pretty cool to us!

Or hideously awful!

Sources say not much else is known other than a production is being planned.

Will the gloved one be part of the Broadway show?

We're sure he wouldn't mind the additional paycheck. He NEEDS it!

Chi Cheng, bassist for the Deftones, was in a serious car accident earlier this week.

Band member Chino posted the following message on their MySpace page:

Hello everyone,

It deeply saddens me to inform you all that our brother Chi Cheng was involved in a terrible car accident last night. He is currently in a Northern California Hospital in serious, but stable condition. I am on my way up North right now to be by his side along with the rest of our band mates and family. Chi is one of the strongest people I know, and I'm praying that his strength will get him through this. Please say a prayer for him as well.

The baby boom continues!

Murder on the Dance Floor singer Sophie Ellis Bextor, has just announced on her website that she's having a second baby!

Sophie is married to Richard Jones of Brit band The Feeling.

They have a four year old son named Sonny.

The new addition to her family is due in April.

On Monday, 71-year old country star, Merle Haggard, went under the knife in CA to have a malignant tumor removed from his lung.

According to reports, doctors informed the crooner about a spot on his lung in May.

He revealed to his hometown paper, The Bakersfield Californian, in August that he wasn't going to seek treatment, but friends and family members convinced him otherwise.

We're glad he reconsidered and wish him a speedy recover.

Lupe Fiasco recently announced that he's retiring and that his next album will be his last.

The final installment of the rapper's career - LupE.N.D. - is a three disc swan song, with each disc correlating to each letter of E.N.D.. The "E" stands for Everywhere, the "N" for Nowhere, and the "D" for Down Here.

He says that he just doesn't "really feel like rapping anymore."

Lupe reiterated those sentiments in concert recently (above).

Bummer!

Oh, so guess what????

After all the hospital visits and vertigo and LL Cool J-dropping and fussing, it's been announced that ALL of Janet Jackson's postponed shows will not be rescheduled. They are officially CANCELLED, so concluding the Rock Fuck Witchu Tour.

We're beginning to feel a touch of vertigo ourselves now!

They're calling it "scheduling conflicts." We're calling it "shitty ticket sales."

Customers will receive a full refund and some bitter disappointment.

Lame.

Where was Nadine????

On Monday, Girls Aloud's members ,Kimberley Walsh, Sarah Harding, Cheryl Cole and Nicola Roberts, were spotted at the Music Industry Trusts' Awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

But, wait! The "voice" was missing!!!!

Why wasn't Nadine Coyle there?

Was she too busy hanging out with her new American football player boyfriend?

Live Nation, the big, live music backers of Madonna, Jay-Z and U2 , has donated big bucks to the NO to Proposition 8 campaign.

The company opposes Prop. 8 because the measure takes away individuals' rights.

Senior VP, John Vlautin said, “Live Nation has always offered equal rights and benefits to our employees’ same-sex partners. It is in this spirit that we have made the decision to donate $50,000 to the No on Prop. 8 campaign.”

Music lovers in California, your support is needed.

Go out and vote NO to the hate filled Proposition 8.
