
Alicia Keys will pay respect to the late Beatles guitarist ,George Harrison, next month when hosting her 8th annual Black Ball that benefits her charity, Keep a Child Alive.
The singer will honor Harrison's philanthropy work through his charity, The Material World Charitable Foundation, which he founded in 1973 to coincide with the release of his Living in a Material World album.

EMI is bringing together a number of their artists and songwriters to raise money for the Red Cross. Each artists/band will be aucitioning off memorabilia for people to buy, and proceeds go directly to the Red Cross efforts in Japan.
Some of the artists participating include Coldplay, The Beatles, Daft Punk, 30 Seconds to mars, The Beastie Boys, Norah Jones, Katy Perry, Gorillaz, the Beach Boys, Good Charlotte, Kylie Minogue, The Kooks, Lady Antebellum, Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins, and Arcade Fire.
