Unlike the film industry, television prides itself in creating diverse and compelling storytelling these days.
But some networks are being called out for not stepping up to the diversity plate — specifically CBS, whose new ordered shows for the fall are exclusively starring white male actors.
The network's new fall schedule will include Bull starring Michael Weatherly; Kevin Can Wait starring Kevin James; The Great Indoors starring Joel McHale; Man With a Plan starring Matt LeBlanc; Pure Genius starring Augustus Prew and Dermot Mulroney; and MacGyver starring Lucas Till and George Eads.
Despite getting heat for an obviously macho lineup, the network's new entertainment head Glenn Geller defended the network's fall schedule during CBS's upfronts on Wednesday, telling reporters:
50 Shades Of Grey & Adam Sandler Lead The Pack With The Most Razzie Nominations! Do YOU Agree With The List?
The nominations are in!
Well, 2015 had some of the best movies the industry has seen in some time. Unfortunately, there were also some pretty horrendous flicks too. No joke!
Thankfully, the Golden Raspberry Awards (AKA Razzies) has released its shortlist for the worst movies and performances of the year. Now we know what NOT to watch, phew!
Though, we can't be THAT surprised since 50SOG was slammed by the critics, despite making bank in the box office. Not to mention, Adam's Pixels is just the latest project from the funnyman to be taken down by the group.
In case you forgot, the Razzies are voted on by 900 members and the "winners" will be announced the day before the Oscars.
Ch-ch-check out the full list of nominees (below) and let us know if YOU think anyone is missing!
Donkey Kong, Pac-Man and Pong, OH MY!
The '80s are back! No, not hair spray and David Bowie — though he's never left — the classic video games of the '80s are here to take over the world in the the new trailer for Pixels (above).
The movie features intergalactic aliens who misunderstand a time capsule sent to them and see it as an act of war against them. So they do what we'd all do, manifest themselves as '80s video games and attack the Earth!
The film stars Adam Sandler as a former Pac-Man champion, Peter Dinklage, the Donkey Kong champion, Josh Gad, master of Centipede — no not THAT centipede, the video game! — and Michelle Monaghan as Lieutenant Colonel Vanessa van Patten, a weapons specialist. Kevin James also stars as the President of the United States and best friends with Sandler's character — hey if '80s video games can invade us we'll buy James as president.
Are you excited for this off-beat wacky arcade comedy? Ch-ch-check out the trailer for yourself and get excited for the July release!
Jamie Foxx Opens The 2015 iHeartRadio Music Awards With Some Controversial Jokes About Bruce Jenner! Watch HERE!
Yikes! Talk about a VERY rough start!!!
But unfortunately the laughs didn't last very long as the host took the stage and started firing off jokes about Bruce Jenner's reported transition (above)!
That's right! Because apparently it's funny to crack jokes about trans people for being different! Shame on you, Jamie!
Ch-ch-check out the not-so-funny opening (above) and the Paul Blart bit (below) and sound off in the comments!
The Next Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 Trailer Is Here, But That Doesn't Mean You Should Totally Watch It & Play A Fun New Drinking Game!
Let us be clear: we are NOT saying you should play a drinking game where you do a shot every time Kevin James falls down in the new trailer for Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2!
We are also not saying that you would get totally effed up in the afternoon!
Ch-ch-check out the video (above) to watch the trailer — and JUST watch the trailer.
(Oh, and if you for some reason — and we definitely didn't put the idea in your head — DO decide to turn this second trailer for a movie that's coming out on April 17, 2015, into a drinking game: do it responsibly, and don't ever drink and drive!!)
2014 is shaping up to be a GREAT year for Kevin James!
Not only is Paul Bart: Mall Cop 2 is in the works, but the actor's wife, Steffiana de la Cruz, just announced that she's pregnant with their fourth child!
Wowza! Kev and Steffiana's brood is getting HUGE! The couple are already parents to three gorgeous kids: Sienna-Marie, Shea, and Kannon.
Back in 2011, the actor joked about his children on the Today Show:
