It turns out, the D.A. has decided to drop the singer's case on Wednesday, and Russell will not be charged for bear hugging her in order to get her out of the suite.
According to TMZ, the Los Angeles District Attorney's office says his actions were "justified to prevent the imminent violence threatened by Banks" and the 52-year-old's attempt to spit at her was "incidental to preventing more serious threatened violence."
Eyewitnesses also backed up the star's account of her being verbally aggressive.
Azealia has yet to respond to the news, but we can't imagine she'll be happy about it.
