Phelps Loses!

wenn-phelps-01__opt12__opt.jpg

Oh, Fishy Phelps.

You've lost your edge!

While competing in the Charlotte UltraSwim competition in North Carolina on Saturday, the Olympic gold medalist lost the 100-meter backstroke to swimmer Aaron Peirsol!

Peirsol finished the backstroke in 53.32 seconds while Phelps took a dismal 53.79 seconds to complete the 100-meter stroke.

It was the first time Phelps has lost in a year.

Bong hits can really damage a person's lung capacity!

Too bad for Fishy!

Miss Cali and Mr. Olympian, Sitting In A Tree!

phelpsandcarrie.jpg

Multiple gold medal winner and pot smoker Michael Phelps likes to get around when it comes to the ladies. Who can blame him with a hot face body like his!

And as we reported earlier, it turns out Phelps has had an on-and-off relationship with Miss USA first runner-up, Carrie Prejean, ever since last year.

During an interview with Access Hollywood's Billy Bush earlier this week, Prejean was asked about her relationship with the swimmer. To which she simply responded, “He is a great man. Wouldn't you like to know, Billy? We can talk about that a different day.”

And we thought Miss California was open and "honest" about everything. But, not to worry, we now have confirmation that Prejean is Phelp's California bootycall sorta girlfriend when he's in town.

The confirmation that the couple have been casually dating comes from Prejean's own grandmother.

Grandma Jeannette Coppolla says, "Carrie and Michael have been out to baseball games and lunch. He always calls her when he is in town and they go out.”

But is it serious?

Grandma adds, “Carrie knows that he has dated a lot of girls but she enjoys going out with him and isn't serious about being in a relationship with him. He's a nice guy and she likes him."

Wonder if Phelps is also still dating that lovely gal from Vegas too?

Michael Phelps Mom Speaks!

9780061780011phelps.jpg

Mamma Phelps is finally talking!

Debbie Phelps' upcoming memoir, A Mother for All Seasons, tackles the highs and lows of her son Michael Phelps' career littered with scandal!

Mamma Phelps' reaction to 'Bong-Gate' when her Olympic winning son was caught on camera takin' a hit of some of the good shiz?

"Déjà vu all over again," Debbie lamented.

In case you guys had forgotten, Phelps was arrested in 2004 for driving drunk when the young swimmer was only 19 years old!!

"It was unreal - like something out of a horror movie - with TV clips of jail cell doors slamming ominously shut, dooming the life and career of one golden boy turned loser," she recalled of her son's DUI.

"He actually had tried to get someone else to drive after he had a few drinks… Apparently someone in the crowd made a crack about not giving the keys to his brand-new Range Rover to someone else," Debbie revealed.

Peer pressure, eh?

Not a valid excuse!

Momma Phelps was distressed over Michael's "disappointing, uncharacteristic behavior" of the toke seen around the world, but she laid the blame on herself when it came to his arrest.

Debbie concluded, "I was sure that I could have done something to better prepare Michael to make better choices."

Don't blame yourself, honey!

Your son is not quite the "golden boy" you see him as!

Phelps On Bong-Gate: "It Was A Bad Mistake"

wenn-phelps-01__opt12__opt1.jpg

Michael Phelps has sat down for his first televised interview since that little picture was seen round the world. He spoke with NBC News' Matt Lauer for the Today, airing, this Friday.

Portions of the interview have been released, and Phelps totally pussies out on answering the touch questions.

Here are some of the HIGHlight!

On how Michael found out about the bong toke seen the world:

"…It was through an e-mail form. And I had no idea really what to do. You know, I knew that I'd made a mistake and made a bad judgment. And– and, you know, I know that when you do make a mistake, you know, you're responsible for all of the consequences. And I was willing to, you know, accept the fact that I did make a mistake."

His reaction to losing numerous endorsements:

"It's not about money to me. So, you know, the– the contract side of things, yeah, I was disappointed. But, you know, I think the biggest thing is– is who I hurt the most. Like, if I lost money, okay. It's not an issue with me."

The details of the celebration where the infamous picture was snapped:

"I mean, we were just celebrating, honestly. And– you know, there was probably two or three people there I didn't know. It was a very small group. Six or seven people probably total in the whole house. Like nothing major. You know, not like a giant college house party. It was nothing like that. It was just a small group and we were just sitting around and celebrating."

How Michael feels about partaking in the green stuff:

"It was a bad mistake. I mean, we all know what, you know, what you and I are talking about. It's a stupid mistake. You know, bad judgment. And it's something that, you know, I have to, and I want to teach other people not to make that mistake."

Yawn!

Can't wait to watch him squirm in the hot seat!

Phelps To Open Up In First Televised Interview Since Bong-gate!

ap-phelps__opt.jpg

Poor Michael Phelps. He got so much negative press for his "litle" post-smoking incident.

He even got dropped by several sponsors!

And yet Chris Brown can reportedly beat up a female and Nickelodeon doesn't drop him?

As for that whole "Bong-gate", we'll finally get to hear what happened straight from the Olympic swimmer's mouth - and that funky jaw!

In his first TV interview since the photo seen ’round the world was released, Michael has decided to speak with NBC News' Matt Lauer.

The interview will air on the Today show this Friday and then again on Dateline this Sunday.

By comparison, there are so many mushc worse role models out there than Phelps. It's not like he bruised and beat up some girl!

Kelloggs Dumps Phelps On Food Bank

wenn-phelps-01__opt12__opt.jpg

After dropping Michael Phelps's face from their cereal boxes (we can all enjoy breakfast safely now), Kelloggs has now dropped 2 tons of Frosted Flakes and Corn Flakes boxes with the pot-smoking swimmer's mug on them at the San Francisco Food Bank.

A spokeswoman for the food bank says, "We do regularly see products with packages that are no longer desirable. Though Kellogg's and their star spokesman hit a patch of rough water, San Francisco's hungry just got thrown a life preserver."

Difficult to come by at a food bank, the cereal apparently flew off the shelves, and employees even stashed a couple of boxes to save as collector's items.

Although we're sure Phelps might have liked all that cereal for himself.

Munchies anyone?

Bong-Gate Keeps On Rollin'

wenn-phelps-01__opt12.jpg

Fishy Phelps took one toke too many for Kelloggs!

Even with the cancelling of Phelps' contract, Bong-Gate managed to drag the cereal hierarchs' reputation down from 9th place all the way to 83rd place, according to company reputation index Vanno.

Bong-Gate is having a more lasting effect on Kellogg's reputation than all that peanut butter dramz!!!

How is that even possible??

Fishy getting a little stoney baloney vs. people dying from peanut butter??

Which do U think is the lesser of two evils???

Michael Phelps Dropped From Motivational Event

wenn-phelps-01__opt11.jpg

Oops! BongWaterGate continues spilling runoff!

Remember that motivational conference that Michael Phelps was scheduled to speak at in Canada????

Well, those that signed up recently received an email informing them that "the decision has been made to present the program without Mr. [Michael] Phelps' participation."

Yeah, you guessed it, they didn't like his whole pot problem!

But, don't worry, while Fishy Phelps won't be present at the upcoming motivation event, you can still catch A-lister Martin Sheen!

Although who better to present a motivational speech than someone who can still win a bunch of gold medals despite being a giant pothead?

Michael Phelps To Motivate Canada!

phelpsie.jpg

We assume it'll probably cost you a pretty penny, but if you have some money to burn, Canadian peeps, you can get motivated by Olympic champ Michael Phelps!

On March 3rd, he's doing some motivational speaking session with Oprah's trainer, Bob Greene, in Calgary, and then on March 6th, a sesh in Vancouver with Opes' health expert, Dr. Mehmet Oz.

Wonder if pot plays a role in Phelps' motivational routine?
