Christy Turlington Burns Seeks To Reduce Maternal Mortality Rates With Music

Supermodel and activist Christy Turlington Burns is once again teaming up with Starbucks to raise money for her organization Every Mother Counts!

Starting next month, Starbucks stores across the US and Canada will be selling Every Mother Counts 2012, a compilation CD featuring some of the biggest names in the music biz and even some unheard tracks.

$8 of every CD sold will go to benefit maternal mortality reduction programs globally.

An amazing cause and great music? It doesn't get any better than that!

The legendary Sting has taken it upon himself to take you on a haunting journey through the Deep In The Meadow lullaby, with additional lyrics and instrumentals that breathe a certain eeriness to the original short and sweet melody.

As avid fans, we KNOW you remember the tear-inducing lullaby Katniss sings to lull little Rue into her everlasting slumber - and now you can check out the FULL LENGTH version sung by Sting (above)!!

It's very pretty, but we're not sure we'd want either version sung to us before bedtime…lest we get nightmares!!

If we didn't know who was singing we would have NEVER guessed it was the girl who brushes her teeth with Jack Daniel's.

This version of Bob Dylan's Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright(above) was recorded for music Amnesty International’s upcoming Chimes Of Freedom: The Songs Of Bob Dylan compilation.

Ke$ha says covering Dylan was emotional experience. She explained:

A star-studded CD collection of Bob Dylan cover songs is being released to benefit Amnesty International.

The four CD collection will feature all new or unreleased songs except for the title track, Chimes of Freedom.

Releasing January 24, 2011, the producers in charge will be the same as a Darfur benefit album featuring John Lennon songs.

Some of the artists included on the collection include Miley Cyrus, Adele, Cage the Elephant, Dave Matthews Band, Ziggy Marley, Maroon 5, My Chemical Romance, Sting, and Ke$ha.

A total of 80 artists and 75 songs will be released.

The disc released will also mark and celebrate Amnesty's 50th birthday.

All-Star Tribute Album For Bob Dylan To Feature Adele, Ke$ha And More!

Any excuse to get more people to hear Adele's version of Make You Feel My Love is fine by us!

Amnesty Interntaional is putting an all-star tribute album out to celebrate the man, myth and legend that is Bob Dylan. The charity album, dubbed Chimes of Freedom: Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 years of Amnety International, will feature some of the biggest names in music singing some of Dylan's best. Sting, Dave Matthews Band and Adele are attached to the disc, as well as Patti Smith singing Drifter's Escape, My Morning Jacket singing You're A Big Girl Now and perhaps the biggest surprise of them all, Ke$ha performing Don't Think Twice, It's All Right.

Of the latter, Ke$ha reveals that she has always been a big admirer of Dylan and was honored to be asked to be a part of the video. She says:
