Kermit & Miss Piggy are finally coming to Broadway!!
Disney Theatrical Productions & Tony-nominated director Alex Timbers put together a live Muppets stage show last month and tested out the feasibility on an audience of staffers!
The showcase was only 15 minutes long, but it could be a preamble to a legitimate Broadway incarnation!!
Hooray!!! This is the truly the most wondrous news we've heard all day week month EVER!!!
Can you imagine next year's Tony's if Neil Patrick Harris AND Fozzie Bear get to tap dance on stage in their bare bear feet!

Jim Henson’s wife and fellow puppeteer Jane Jenson has passed away.
The Muppets’ collaborator died at age 78 in her Connecticut home yesterday due to her battle with cancer.
She and her husband met in the mid-1950s at the University of Maryland and were partners throughout the development of The Muppets. The couple split in 1986. Jim passed in 1990. Both are survived by their five children: Lisa, Cheryl, Brian, John and Heather.
So so sad! Our thoughts are with her family.

Reason #241 why America rocks: All defendants in a court of law are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash has not yet been found guilty of any inappropriate sexual conduct with minors, so we must assume he's innocent of these nasty charges until we see evidence to the contrary!
Still, this weekend's development hurts our heart!
Three men claim Kevin sexually abused them while they were minors and they filed lawsuits saying as much.
Kevin's lawyer Michael Berger just filed a motion to combat this lawsuit, not by maintaining his client's innocence, but by saying the men aren't entitled to any money because the statute of limitations expired on their grievances.
In the motion filed to dismiss the lawsuits, Michael claims

The ever HIGHlarious Tina Fey, future Golden Globes co-host, has reportedly been offered the LEAD role in The Muppets sequel!!
There are apparently only 3 human roles in the follow up flick to Jason Segel's Muppets remake — two of which have already been filled by the cheeky Ricky Gervais and Modern Family's Ty Burrell — and Tina is being courted for the main female (non-muppet) character.
The Muppets sequel chronicles the furry creatures as they frolic around Europe, and will be directed by James Bobin.
Ooooo Tina, you best watch yourself around Kermit or Miss Piggy is gonna get maaad jealous!!
