Milk: the new white gold!

Holy shizz! Milk might be hitting $6 a gallon if there's no farm bill resolution!

Congress didn't complete action on the bill this year after it expired in September, and if no fiscal agreement is reached, farmers could face the prospect of returning to an antiquated system for pricing milk that would bring big price increases for consumers.

The fallback plan is

Barry Cadden, the owner and director of the New England Compounding Center that was found to be the source of the fungal meningitis outbreak, has appeared before Congress!

When questioned he plead the Fifth.

That meant that he was exercising his constitutional rights to not be forced to incriminate himself.

So the whole hearing in front of Rep. Cliff Stearns, R-Florida, chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee's Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations went like this:

A few weeks ago, we thought it was weird that sources were just calling it a "mood" disorder, as that could've been anything — so we're glad that we know what it is specifically that Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. has.

We're just not glad that he has to go through it!

Taking a leave from congress to get his bipolar disorder under control, it's been two months since he left for help — and the Mayo Clinic has confirmed that he's there for treatment.

We wonder what was the final moment before he knew he needed help. Whatever it was, we're glad it has set this in motion!

Check out the report on it (above), and we hope all is well, Jesse!

Supreme Court Lets Health Care Overhaul Stand!

Wow, a victory into moving towards helping people stay healthy and saving lives?? Imagine that!

The Supreme Court, in a very close 5 to 4 victory, has decided to uphold the basic provisions of the health care overhaul. This includes the government's use of taxation powers to push people to buy health insurance!

It was a victory for President Obama and Congressional Democrats, as not only did it pass, but it had the conservative chief justice, John G. Roberts Jr., affirming the central legislative pillar of Obama's presidency. That's a big deal.

The four nay-sayers called the whole law “invalid in its entirety.”

Really?

Anyway, the decision did say no to one part of the law: the expansion of Medicaid, the government health-insurance program for low-income and sick people, giving states more flexibility.

This means that the Government can't force states into expansion compliance by threatening to remove ALL Medicaid funding — they can, however, offer perks to push them towards it.

Republicans are already scheming on how to have it removed, along with Mitt Romney saying he'll get rid of it all if elected.

What's so wrong with everyone getting the care they deserve?

Seems kinda bullshizzy to us to assert that one person deserves it more than another, just because of having the money to afford it or to be with a company kind enough to provide it!

We're SO happy to hear this!
