Darwin has been whisked away to a sanctuary in Sundarland, Ontario, but former owner Yasmin Nakhuda isn't giving up on her retrieving her pet.

Yikes…no one likes to see custody battles…especially after such a heart-wrenching story…

Missy is a German Shepherd who was found abandoned and alone on the Colorado mountainside.

A hiker found Missy and realized he couldn't get to her alone, so he posted a pic of her on Facebook and eight men responded to help rescue the stranded pooch.

Sounds simple, right???

Looks like this custody battle was short and sweet.

The Wanted's Max George has been denied visiting rights to Pip, a mini Chihuahua, by former fiancée Michelle Keegan.

Michelle called it quits on their relationship after Max was caught sexting another gal AND liplocking with a mystery blonde.

And Max is pissed…that he won't get to see the pooch!

The Wanted singer bought Pip as an engagement present. But sources say that since their breakup, Michelle won't answer the phone and has made one thing crystal clear…

No one is really sure why but the rate of divorcing partners fighting over their pets is climbing.

A survey by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers found that divorce lawyers are finding themselves handling pet custody cases more and more often.

These cases include dogs, cats and even birds!

Another inneresting statistic is that these pet custody cases are more common among same-sex marriages, civil unions and domestic partnerships.

After the release (and then slaughter) of the 50 exotic animals in Ohio, law makers have been swayed to make some changes when it comes to exotic animal ownership.

One person, apparently unswayed, is the wife of the deceased man who freed the animals.

She wants four of the six surviving animals, a grizzly bear and three leopards, back in her custody.

The animals are in temporary quarantine at the Columbus Zoo.
